Rika: ❝What did you observe,❞ she inquired.
I pondered a second time.
Elmira: ❝In my imagination, I witnessed my parents disputing. It seemed like they were attempting to meet somebody,❞ I trailed off.
Rika: ❝Are you serious? Did your parents provide any clues as to who it might be?❞
I shook my head.
Elmira: ❝Under no circumstances did they mention any names. I'm perplexed, though, why my recollections have resurfaced now? Could it be because I'm with you?❞
Ah, yes, I'd completely overlooked asking her how she knew my parents.
She nibbled on her lip, lost in thought.
Rika: ❝Maybe it could be so,❞ she mentioned.
Elmira: ❝So, what was your relationship with my parents like? How did you get to know them?❞
