30 days in commonwealth

It was Halloween and I decided against dressing up, there was a masquerade ball later tonight and Carl had the day off with me, we had just gotten out of our shower and someone was knocking on our door, I wrapped my robe I was given and answered the door to see Daryl "sorry I didn't mean to interrupt, you still on to watch Jude and RJ?" Daryl asked and I nodded "I just got out of the shower, I can still watch Judith" I smiled, and he nodded. I got dressed and Carl joined me on finding Judith, she was talking to princess and another girl "Jude, hey" I smiled, and she waved "this is mori" she smiled, and I shook her friend's hand. "Be at my apartment yeah?" I asked and she nodded I winked, and she laughed, I found carl and RJ eating ice cream "good thing you arrived RJ was going for your cone" Carl laughed and I grabbed my ice cream joining them at the table "how's Judith?" Carl asked and I smiled "she made a friend, Mori" I smiled and he nodded. After we returned home it was late at night and I was exhausted, I wanted to hibernate.

Day 33 in the commonwealth

Carl and I had got a new apartment and it were much better than our old one and you couldn't hear music through the walls, it was peaceful. Days were passing like seconds, I missed what it was like outside of the walls of Commonwealth, I missed the eventfulness of walker breaches, I missed going out to hunt with Daryl. We were allowed to visit Alexandria and Carl dragged me along to visit, as soon as I saw Aaron, I ran to hug him "it looks good, you've been doing well around here" I smiled and he kissed my head softly. "How did you keep a place like this safe?" Mercer asked and I smiled "it was hard, fought a lot of fights, lost more people than we gained but nonetheless we made it work" I smiled, Carl put an arm around my waist and kissed my cheek "you two were some of the leaders here?" he asked and Carl shook his head "not me, no! my Dad ran this place, then the reins were handed to her and she did a pretty good job" he smiled at me and I rolled my eyes "aren't you a little young to be running a community like this?" he asked and I shrugged "I used to ask myself that question but then I remember everything I did before this community, and I remember what happen to me and I realize I was too young for any of that to happen but maybe it happened so I would be ready for something like running a community one day" I explained and he shook his head with his eyebrows raised "and you were just a kid before all of this?" he asked almost unsure "yeah, just a really smart kid" I smiled and I walked ahead with Carl.

We took a detour to hilltop and we were stopped by walkers, I got out with Daryl and we both ran up with our cross bows in hand, we helped Maggie take down the remaining walkers and the two of us ran up to hug her "you ok?" I asked and she nodded we released from our hug as Pamala and Mercer walked forward, Maggie not thrilled to see them. After a long stare off Maggie got cleaned up and Lance suggested that we ask her to hunt "you can stay back and help with the swarm" Carl kissed my cheek and went to leave but I grabbed his sleeve "I want to hunt, as much as I messed the smell of rotting corpse I think I got enough of it on me" I laughed and he took his flannel off handing it to me "change into that" he smiled and I shook my head "I'm fine, really" I smiled and he stopped me "just change, your only in a t-shirt and its still a little chilly" I huffed and took my shirt off grabbing the flannel, as I was buttoning it he noticed the rubber band keeping my pants buttoned "what's that from?" He asked nervously and I laughed it off "the button broke this morning, so I had to do something quick because I did not want to change" I smiled and he nodded wearily kissing me softly "not because your pregnant and trying to hide it?" he asked and I shook my head "No, I am not pregnant" I smiled and walked past him with my crossbow over my shoulder.

TW mention of miscarriage

I went into the woods sticking with Aaron, Pamala and Maggie split separately, Carl went with Mercer and Daryl. "Aaron, how is Alexandria really?" I asked and he shrugged "fine, how the baby?" he asked, and I rolled my eyes "nonexistent, I was so close to having a kid, but shit goes wrong for me, I would be a month pregnant by now, and carl doesn't even know how close I was!" I stressed and Aaron nodded "you're not telling him, are you?" he asked and I shook my head "no, it happened because I put too much stress on my body, I overworked myself, he won't let me lift a finger if he found out" I looked up as I started to tear up and Aaron hugged me "lets get back ok?" he asked and I followed him wiping my tears. We got back to Hilltop and carl knew I was keeping something from him, but he didn't push me to find out what.

We help the troops set up camp and we headed back to commonwealth, back to the walls that reminded me of a prison gate, we had roughly two and half days of freedom.
