It was seven o'clock that Lily was dropped off in front of Noah Corp. by Sampson on his way to work.

" WE'LL GET IN TOUCH ! "Sampson beamed as he signed.

Lily grinned and stuck a thumbs up in the air at him as he drove away.

Lily looked at the building, it was tall as expected. She then begun to walk towards the building. She felt grateful towards Christine and Sampson for not allowing her to show up for her interview as an invalid, looking at the place and caliber of people that  walked about the vicinity she had the conviction she would have wound up at an asylum. Lily smiled again for the warm breakfast, free ride and most importantly, clothes and shoes.

As she was leaving the two extended an eager invitation that she was free to abode with the either of them but Lily declined.

"I am not a charity  case,"She muttered  to herself.

Strong women get their own...

Noah Corp.

She walked right in after a polite wave from a security guard manning the entrance then  she was at the meeter-greeter area at the lobby. She expected to find a snobby receptionist but instead a warm nurtured gentleman welcomed her.

"What might be your name, miss?" His youthful voice asked.

"Liliana Bella Wright,"

"Ah ! The interviewee, welcome , your interview is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. Please do sit while I alert Mr. Noah you're here,"

Lily nodded and obeyed wordlessly. She could not remember the last time strangers had spoken so kindly to her as today. She was often used to dirty looks, commanding tones, insults and even harsh shoves. Truly, appearances did matter a great deal.

The man used the telephone and Lily frowned.

Who used those...

Those were supposed to be outdated.

"Follow me, please,"He softly ordered.

Lily tailed behind him, eyes darting around thoughtfully,

Noah Corp. was definitely a unique space.

It was luxurious like most tall glass buildings but it was extremely lavish.

Rich people things...

As she had heard the term from her cousin Martha.

Boy, did she ever dream she would walk into a place like this for something like an interview ?Never ! Including the outfit she donned on. Lily could only dream about eating full decent meals thrice a day, whatever she was experiencing was an extravagance she was yet to get used to.

How rich is this man? Lily wondered as he stared at the exquisite decor of the place.

And who uses an antique of a telephone anyway ?

He must be  dracula if not some really old champ of some sort.

Lily's mouth easily gaped, she could swear she had never seen the type of furnishings.

"Wow ! "She audibly gasped when they got into the elevator.

The young man stared at her in amusement.

Soon they were before a door.

Even this door looks expensive too, dang ! Do rich people waste money on everything ?

I wonder if he has a son ?

A young unmarried heir,  I'd make a splendid wife.

If he doesn't give me this job, I'm tracking that heir down!

'Knock !'

'Knock!'

The man's knocking jolted her from her ridiculous thoughts. He opened the door and let her in.

Now, Lily expected at the very least an old grumpy grandpa in a rocking chair in an old tweet suit and a cigar in his mouth with squinty, quarrel eyes but not the sight that greeted her at all.

She stood gawking in both wonder and confusion.
