31. Chapter Thirty one

Lily was in a state of confusion.

It was already three o'clock and not a soul had left Mr. Noah Ruiz's office. Anxiety crept in.

She could hear furniture being dragged across floors, she could hear the slight drilling and she silently panicked.

Lily knew where the blueprint was, at first, she thought it was quite peculiar that Noah had called her into the office three weeks ago and showed her a safe hidden behind the wall, just on the left side of his desk. The button was beneath Noah's desk, a push and a square section on the wall would move inwards. Lily knew it would take them quite a while to figure it out, but she had to act fast.

She briefly remembered asking her boss why he seemed to entrust such a delicate information with her but all he signed was," MY SPIRIT FEELS OFF WHEN IT COMES TO PEOPLE HERE EXCEPT YOU,"

" EVEN LAN DOES NOT KNOW?" She had asked.

"YES," Was the reply.

Now, she understood and was very grateful to whatever entity he prayed to because clearly, it had blocked Noah's mouth from Lan.

Lily looked at the texts on her screen, the pressure to get the blueprints steadily intensifying. She was happy that no soul paid her any mind while she hovered up and down the Noah's floor. Mr. Valentino who would have minded very much was quite busy at the ground floor ostensibly strategizing how to completely take over Mr. Noah Ruiz's business. A sad tale.

Lily purposely hovered around the door, listening and almost cried out in relief when she heard a muffled," Guys, let's give it a break. I say we go for late lunch before we come back, yeah?"

 A few grunts confirmed they had agreed with the suggestion, so she scampered off back to her office to grab the counterfeit blueprints, Mr. Noah had left at her office one time.

Peeping through a small gap between the door and the wall, they were leaving, and she waited until she was certain the last one of them had left before stealthily running to the office and shutting the door behind her. Noah's office was in utter ruins and disarray, quickly finding the button on his desk that had been overturned. A quick press and the wall shifted, a small square section moved inward, and Lily rushed to push it inwards further to open it before exchanging the documents and restoring the wall as it had been.

After her success, Lily knew she had to leave the premises. She did not know exactly where she was going until her phone screen lit up while she was busy driving off. It was Moah.

" ITS NOAH," he said after accepting the video call.

Fear at first, " WHICH NOAH?"

" IT IS ME; I WAS ARRESTED THIS MORNING!"

Lily still scared stared at him uncomprehendingly. He could be lying!

" LILY?" Then he signed her name. An "l" handshape between his eyes then winked, a signature teasing smile.

Lily blushed, she wondered why he had given her that sign name.

" THE OTHER NOAH NEVER WINKED," She confirmed, and she wondered why, she never ever noted that unique feature.

His face grew serious," I NEED YOU TO PICK ME UP. SENDING A PIN SHORTLY,"

" OKAY"
