Lily had always wondered what it would feel like if one was stuffed inside a microwave but today, she was certain she had an idea. There were fans in every corner of the board room even the celling too had them yet she was sweating like a pig.

She looked around and it seemed this time every single person must have had a toad stuck at each of their throats. It was bad.

Noah beside her looked tired, no, he looked tormented. Lily did not believe in Noah's religion but if someone told her that Noah had spent the night running away from a pitch forked head demon with a red tail, she would actually believe it. Noah's shirt looked wrinkled too, he looked battered and she hated it. The Noah she knew was always bold to confrontation but not the defeated man beside him.She sighed loudly and if Noah heard her, he paid her no mind.

Unlike the deafening silence like the first time , this time there were hushed murmurs.

Even Peter who stood at a corner in a yellow zoot suit did nothing to lighten the moment instead everyone shot him the stink eye including Lan.

It was 9 oçlock.

Mr. Valentino, who sat at the other end of the conference table, directly facing Lily and Noah, he looked on expectantly.

Noah decided to start, "GOOD MORNING EVERYONE?"

"Good morning my foot!"

"What is good about this morning ?"

"A zoot suit, I knew they were always rebels?"

"What a disappointment,"

"Good morning to Mr. Noah's little, play thing,"

"I always knew he was a hypocrite,"

Lily winced and Noah suspect of the insults but he had no use for them.|

Noah carried on regardless,"THE REASON FOR THIS ABRUPT MEETING IS TO CLEAR A FEW TIHINGS,"

"Damn right, " a familiar blonde, no doubt was the one who Lily had seen at the first board meeting,

Noah tried all he could to explain but from their faces he could tell, it would be more easier if he told them that he usually transformed onto a winged angel every night.

They were skeptical and Noah could not exactly blame them. He, himself had questioned and brought his memory under scrutiny, jotted down his past movements, looked at all CCTV cameras both at work and home to see any of an odd activity but it was nothing. He had confirmed that it was not him but the big question was : who  was the man on the cover and who paid him?
