"A 42%?!" You thought with a sick feeling in your stomach. You buried your face in your hands. "This is the fourth bad grade this month! My mom's gonna kill me!" You groaned. Your teacher, Mr. Sato, was passing out their math test from that week. "Maybe you should have actually tried studying for the test, Ms. Sugiyama," he stated while walking around the classroom. A couple students started snickering. Embarrassed, you turned away from them and stared out the window. You sighed. "Great. Just great." You dreaded school. You was never good at it. And to make matters worse, your mother expected perfect grades from you. 42% is not perfect. "How am I going to explain this to her?" You wondered. "Might as well buy her another soda." After the last bell of school rang, you slung your bag over your shoulders and headed out the front doors.
