Novalee arrived at Casey's house along with tatum and Sidney. Novalee had made sure that fat Louis was fed and safe before leaving for the party.

The three of them walked into Casey's house, the loudness of the music welcoming them.

"Nova! Glad you can make it!" Casey squealed out, clearly already drunk, novalee let out a small laugh as Casey started to pull her to the living room, where the furniture was moved to make room for the dancing teens.

Casey pulled novalee into the dance floor, spinning her around, and novalee smiled, before moving her hips along to the music

Casey smirked and moved her body in synce with novalee , steve danced his way over to them handing novalee a cup full of beer, and novalee took it , drinking it

"Yeah!let's get wild!" Steve yelled and the crowd cheered.

Sidney stood by in a corner with tatum watching novalee dance with Casey and steve

"Wow, that is hot," both girls turned to see their friend randy meeks staring at novalee, Casey and steve with a wide eye look

"What's going on there?" Stu questioned as he and billy arrived

"It's called dancing," Tatum sarcastically replied , the four of them watch as novalee got on the table and started to dance, the crowd around her started to cheer, Casey got on the table and the two of them danced like nobody was watching

Tatum and Sidney noticed that stu, billy and randy couldn't look away, so entranced watching the two dance

Sidney felt jealously creep inside of her, watching billy watch her sister dance with such loving eyes

"Come on guys! Dance with us!" Novalee shouted, waving her friends over

"Well I don't know about you but I'm going," randy said before walking over and novalee got off the table and grabbed randy by the hips and started to sway their hips and randy laughed , grabbing novalee hand and spinning her around

Novalee dropped herself on the couch with an exhausted laugh , drinking more beer, clearly already drunk

"You having fun?" Novalee turned her head and smiled at billy ,"uh-huh, you should've joined us billy! We never see you dance," novalee said with a small pout

"There's a reason for that," billy told her, "and what's that?" She asked ,"I don't dance," he said and she let out a laugh

"That's a lie! Don't you remember fourth grade? Our school dance? We danced like nobody was watching, " novalee giggled, dropping her head on Billy's shoulder

Billy chuckled ,"yeah I remember that, you and stu had a dance battle to see who was the better dancer was, everyone knew it was you," billy said with a fond smile

Novalee giggled before she frowned, lifting her head and pointed her finger at billy ,"hey, if I overstepped on yours and Sidneys relationship, you tell me okay? " She slurred out and billy nodded

"Yeah, and I think you should stop drinking," he said, taking her cup away and she pouted

"But billy," she whined, "I'm not even drunk yet," she added and billy let out a small chuckle.

"Uh-huh," he said ,"really. I'm not," she said before she passed out ,"nova?" He tapped her cheek and she let out a small whine, slapping his hand away

He took off his jacket and put it over nova, as Sidney walked over ," billy can we go somewhere more private?" She asked

"We can't leave nova here like this," billy said, gesturing to novalee ,"she'll be fine, no one's going to hurt her," Sidney replied

Billy looked hesitantly to leave but he stood up and grabbed sidneys hand, going somewhere more private.

Novalee woke up, and looked around noticing that she was still at Casey's party, but people were starting to leave

She glanced around for her friend's but didn't see them anymore , she pouted, they must've left her

Standing up, the jacket that was on her fell, and she picked it up, putting it on before stumbling towards the front door

Novalee took a deep breath of fresh air, before starting her walk home.

She was walking for at least ten minutes before she saw her mother walking into a motel room with some man that clearly wasn't her father

Novalee blinked rubbing her eye's, "mom?" Novalee stumbled forward and bumped into someone

"Oh I'm so sorry," she slurred out ,"Oh it's fine," the person she bumped into said

"You okay?" The man asked and novalee shook her head ,"I think I just saw my mom walk into a motel room with a man that wasn't my father," she slurred almost falling but the man grabbed her before she fell, settling her on the side walk and she sat criss-cross on the side walk with a small frown

"Sorry," she mumbled, the man sat besides her ,"it's alright, you coming from a party?" He asked and she nodded

"I think my friends left me, so I started to walk home," she said ,"it's dangerous for a girl like you to be walking drunk at this hour," he told her

Novalee turned her head and looked at him ,"are you going to hurt me?" He shook his head

"No, I'm not," novalee nodded her head ,"my name is novalee prescott, what's yours?" She asked

"That's a pretty name, and my name is Roman. Roman bridger," he introduced himself and novalee smiled

"Nice to meet you Roman, Roman bridger," she giggled and he chuckled

"Do you need help getting home?" He asked ,"my dad said not to accept car rides from strangers," she mumbled,

"Well, I'm not a stranger , you know my name and I know yours," he told her and she let out a small laugh

"That's true! We're not strangers! Uh silly me, "she giggled ,"I know my adress, can you help me home?"

Roman nodded ,"yeah of course,"

Novalee smiled and patted his arm,

"You're a good guy roman,"
