[Novalee's outfit]

"Are you sure you're ready for this?" Billy questioned, his gaze following novalee as she walked her room, getting her school stuff ,

"Yeah, shouldn't you wait a couple more days?months? Maybe until the cast is off?" Stu suggested,

"Billy, stu, I'll be fine, the doctor's cleared me and said I can go to school," she told them, zipping up her bag, "even my dad wasn't as worried as you guys are," she added, turning to face them,

"Plus, I'm bored of being in the house all day, I want to go to school with you guys, " she told them

Billy and stu looked at each other before looking at novalee, billy sighs, "Alright, fine,"

Novalee squealed before hugging them both, stu let out a small laugh, and Billy chuckled

"Yay! We get to go to school together," she excitedly said, pulling back and smiling at them ,

"Do we have the same classes? Do we sit next to each other?" Novalee questioned,

"We have the same classes, and we only sit next to each other during science, math, lunch, and English," stu replied

"That's amazing, I get to spend all day with you guys," she said, billy and stu smiled,

"Here, I'll carry your bag," stu said, grabbing Novalees bag before she could even reach for it,

"And I'm running away before you can protest," stu quickly added before rushing out of novalee's room, almost bumping into Sidney, who was startled ,

"What was that about?" She asked, looking at her sister and boyfriend," he just ran off with my school bag, hey! Stu, wait up!" Novalee quickly rushed out of her room,

"Careful down the stairs!" Billy shouted after her, about to go chasing after novalee and stu, but Sidney stopped him,

"Can I talk to you for a second?" She asked, billy nodded, his heart ached to chase after novalee and stu,

"What is it that you want to talk about?" He asked ,"ever since...novalee accident, you have been spending more time with her than me, I mean billy I'm your girlfriend,...I'm not saying you should stop spending time with novalee...I'm just asking if you could spend less time with her and more time with me?" Sidney told him ,

Billy stared at her, He couldn't believe what he was hearing, but at the same time, Sidney had a right to be jealous, had a right to ask him of that,

"I'm sorry sid, I know I haven't been spending much time with you, I just don't want nova to feel lonely, to feel like she has to go through what she's going through alone, I want her to know that we're there for her ," billy said ,

"But what about me? I lost my mom billy, she dead, and my sister can't even remember me, she can't even mourn her own mother because she can't remember her, I need someone to be there for me, I want you to be there for me," Sidney told him, tears gathering in her eyes ,

"Hey, I'm sorry, okay? I'll spend more time with you , I promise, and I'll be there for you," Billy told her, pulling Sidney into a hug, and Sidney hugged him back,

Novalee giggled as stu spun her around as they waited for Sidney and Billy outside ,

"I'm glad you're coming to school with us. It hasn't been the same without you," stu told her,

"I'm glad I get to spend a whole day with you guys," novalee said, and stu smiled as Billy and Sidney walked out of the house ,

"Everything okay?" Novalee asked, "Yeah," Sidney replied with a smile, novalee smiled back before hooking her good arm with stu's,

"Alright! Let's get going,"
