Novalee slowly drank some water. Supposedly, her father and sister were standing beside her,

They had said that they were her family, but she was still caution about it. She doesn't even know who she is , how does she know that they're really her family.

Her sister Sidney was quietly crying, tears streamed down her face as her father talked to the doctor

Novalee reached her hand and held Sidney's hand. She didn't know the feelings she was feeling, but she knew that it felt right comforting Sidney.

Sidney turned to her and gave her a small smile, squeezing her hand as the door to Novalees room flew open , Billy, stu, and Randy rushed in

"You're awake!" Stu happily said, rushing over to her and hugging her tightly, being careful with her arm

Novalee looked at Sidney with wide eyes, "Thank god you're awake, Nova, I couldn't handle another minute of these two moping around," Randy joked,

"We're weren't moping around. Don't listen to this dipshit, but I'm glad to see you're awake," Billy told her, coming to stand next to Sidney

Stu pulled back and smiled down at Nova, "sorry, I was too happy to see that you're awake," stu said, rubbing the back of his neck nervously

"A..are you guys part of my family too?" She questioned, looking at them

"They're not family Novalee. They're your bestfriends," Sidney told her. The three boys shared a look

"Sidney, what's going?" Billy questioned , Sidney sniffled, wiping her tears

"Novalee doesn't remember anything. She didn't even know her own name or that we were her family," Sidney told them

"T..that can't be true , Nova, you remember us, right?" Stu asked, gesturing to him and Billy

Novalee looked at them before slightly shaking her head with a sad expression,"i- I'm sorry, I don't remember any of you,"

Stu stared at her while Billy looked away, and Randy took a step forward, forcing a smile on his face, but it didn't quite reach his eyes

"Well, I'm Randall meeks, but everyone calls me Randy meeks," he introduced himself. "we've been friends since we were four years old, "he added

Novalee smiled at him ,"it's nice to meet you, Randy,"

Stu cleared his throat, smiling a little at novalee ,"I'm stuart macher, but everyone calls me stu , we've been friends since we were two,"

Novalee smiled at him, reaching out and taking his hand in hers as she saw a small tear escaping his eyes

"I um.."Billy cleared his throat, "I'm willam loomis, but I go by Billy , we've been friends since we were two,"

"It's nice to meet you guys, I'm sorry for not remembering you guys, but I promise you that I will try my best too," novalee told them

"You have to get better for fat Louis, he misses you,"stu told her ,"Who's fat Louis ?"

"He's your cat. He's a very fat cat, and he eats a lot," Billy replied, and Novalee looked at him

"You calling my cat fat, Billy loomis?" Billy blinked before chuckling and nodding ,"Yeah, yeah, I'm calling your cat fat because he is, and fat is literally in his name, "

Novalee chuckled , "Billy's just jealous because you love that more than him," Randy joked

"Shut up, no I'm not, don't listen to him, whenever he speaks, all you hear is nonsense," Billy quickly said, reaching out and smacking Randy in the arm

"Ow!" Novalee let out a small laugh , "Are you guys always like this?" She questioned

"Yeah, they're always fighting and messing around with each other," Sidney replied, shaking her head at Billy and Randy

"Yeah, it's cause Randy is idiot and says idiotic things," Billy said, "and Billy says the very meanest things," Randy said with a small pout

Novalee chuckled before looking at stu, who was using his thumb to draw small circles on the back of her hand, "Hey, are you okay?" She asked, and stu looked up at her nodding

"Uh-huh, " she squeezed his hand ,giving a small smile, and he gave her a small back.
