Billy and stu rushed into the hospital meeting Sidney and Tatum, "what happened? Where is she?" Billy questioned

"She's in surgery again, fixing her arm,"Tatum told them ,"what the hell happened?" Billy questioned

"She fell down the stairs," Sidney said, grabbing his hand but he shrugged her off ,"it's what Maureen said," Tatum told them, crossing her arm's

"She...what?" Stu said in disbelief, "Nova couldn't have fallen down the stairs, she a ninja sneaking around in the dark, even half asleep, she couldn't have fallen down the stairs," he added with a shake of his head

"What else is wrong with her?" Billy questioned worry laced in his voice, "she hit her head pretty bad billy...it was bad," Sidney replied, a tear escaping her eye

"Do...do you know when she's getting out of surgery?" Billy questioned, "in an hour at most...if the surgery goes as planned," Sidney told him

Stu took a step back, his eye's glistening with tears ,"I um..I'm going to get some fresh air," he mumbled before quickly walking out of the hospital

"I'll go talk to him," billy said before quickly following stu

"We...we were there billy, we were at Novas house ," stu told him, as he paced, tears streaming down his face , running his hands through his hair

"Hey, hey calm down," billy said,reaching out and grabbing stu's hands in his

"We..we should've stayed billy...maybe..maybe she wouldn't be in the hospital right now," stu cried out , billy vision clouded with tears, but he blinked them away

"We couldn't have known, hey listen to me, we couldn't have known," billy told him, stu let out a quiet sob

"I'm..I'm just scared billy, I don't want to lose her. I can't lose her," stu told him

"We won't, we won't lose her, I promise you that," billy told him and stu gave him a small nod

"She'll be okay, we know she will, because she's tough, and we both know that she won't leave fat Louis behind," billy told him , and stu let out a small chuckle

"She'll kill for that cat...speaking of fat Louis, someone has to go and feed him, and..and make sure that he gets his daily dose of milk ," stu said,

"I'll go, I can't..I can't just sit in that waiting room and wait..I just can't, "stu said, and billy nodded

"Okay, I'll call you when she's out okay?" Billy told him and stu nodded before he walked away

Billy closed his eye's letting out a shaky breath, the truth was....he didn't know if novalee was going to be okay and that scared him.

He can't lose her, he just can't.

Stu petted fat Louis fur, he had taken him a bath since stu found fat Louis with blood on him , and he knew that novalee hated when fat Louis was dirty, he had to be cleaned or else he wasn't allowed on the couch or the bed, he has to be cleaned for when novalee comes home.

Stu sat on the top of the stairs,  fat Louis in his lap, stu heard the front door open before a second later closing before he heard whispering, confused, he listened closely

"What happens when she wakes up?huh? She's going to tell everyone," a familiar voice whispered

Stu eye's slightly widen as he recognized that voice, it was hank loomis, Billy's father

"The doctor said, she has a very low chance of waking up," another voice whispered and stu instantly recognized that voice, it was Maureen presccot, novalees and Sidneys mother

"But there's a chance she might wake up, and if she does, she will tell everyone about us, and how you pushed her down the stairs," hank whispered

Stu's eye's widen, "I was drunk hank! I didn't mean to push her down the stairs and she knows that!" Maureen slightly raised her voice

Anger started to course through stu's body, he stood up with fat Louis in his arms, turning around and going to novalees room

"What was that?" Hank asked, "who's here!?" Stu quickly closed the door behind him, before going over to the window, holding fat Louis closely to him before he climbed out, jumping down and running away from the presccot house.

Billy walked into novalees hospital room. She was out of surgery already ,it went well

His heart broke seeing novalee lying there, very still with a bandage wrapped around her head, bruising started to form around it, her left arm was in a cast, her other arm was full of brusies,

Billy stood on her left, looking down at her, tears gathering in his eyes again , she looks so fragile and vulnerable, and it breaks Billy's heart to see her like this.

"Nova...I'm so sorry...I promise you from now on, I'll protect you, you won't get hurt again, I promise you," billy whispered, caressing the side of her face

"Billy?" Billy took a step back, wiping his tears, clearing his throat and looking at Sidney who stood by the door

"I'll um..I'll go tell stu that's nova is out of surgery," billy mumbled before walking past her, Sidney watched billy walk away with an upset look on her face before she walked further into novalee's room

Billy walked out of the hospital taking a deep breath ," billy!" He turned to right and saw stu running towards him with fat Louis in his arms

Stu stood in front of him panting, trying to catch his breath ,"nova...was pushed...by her mother," he panted out

Billy blinked ,"what?" Stu took a deep breath ,"I overheard Maureen and your dad talking to each other over at the presccot house, Maureen pushed Nova down the stairs after she found out that her and your father were having an affair, " stu explained

Anger surged through billy, he kicked the trash can "fuck!" He cursed , stu slightly flinched, holding fat Louis closer to him

"Fuck that bitch! And fuck that bastard!" He cursed, "billy..."

Billy turned to stu, "I have a plan...but I can't tell you here okay? Let's go back to your house okay?" Stu nodded

"Wait billy...is nova okay? Is she out of surgery yet?" Stu questioned and billy nodded ,"yeah but...she looks...she's not doing so great stu, you shouldn't see her like that," billy told him and stu looked down at the ground, nodding

He looked up at billy with a small smile ,"I'll see her when she wakes up and when she's better,"
