Novalee walked down the stairs with fat Louis in her arms, putting him down once reaching the end of the stairs.
Sidney and Billy were chatting in the living room couch, novalee walked into the kitchen, going over to make herself a cup of coffee.
"Morning nova!" Sidney happily greeted, and novalee turned her head facing her, narrowing her eyes slightly
"Hello? Massive hangover," novalee said, and Sidney smiled in sympathy, "sorry nova ,"
Novalee finished making herself her coffee and took a sip of the burning hot coffee.
"Hello!?" Novalee winced once again, "we're in the kitchen, and keep your voices down," Billy replied.
Soon, stu and Tatum walked into the kitchen. stu was holding a baguette of flowers. He shyly smiled at novalee, holding out the bouquet flowers towards novalee
"These are for you,I'm sorry about yesterday," stu said, and novalee smiled, taking the flowers ,"my favorite, thank you stu, and don't worry about it," she told him
"I'll go put these in my room," she added, walking past them,
"How did you know that iris flowers are her favorite?" Tatum questioned, "I know everything that Nova likes," stu replied with a small shrug, helping himself to some watermelon
Novalee soon came back down, school bag in hand , grabbing the watermelon from stu, "Hey, I was going to eat that," stu told her with a small pout
"You were? I thought you were just holding it," novalee said, giving him a teasing smile
Stu chuckled, slightly shaking his head before grabbing another piece of watermelon.
"We should get going," Sidney said, and soon everyone walked out of the prescott house.
Tatum and Sidney walked ahead, while stu, Billy, and novalee stayed behind, walking beside each other.
"Hey, what do you remember about last night? When did you walk home?" Billy questioned
"Not much. " she said with a shake of his head ,"Why?" She added, looking at him
He shook his head ,"no reason," novalee stared at him for a few seconds before she looked away
Stu picked a flower from the ground and handed it to novalee ,"another flower for the pretty lady," he said
Novalee smiled, taking the flower and putting it behind her ear, "matches with my outfit," she said with a small giggle
"Nova! Come over here for a second!" Tatum called out, turning around , waving her over, and novalee rushed over to Sidney and Tatum
"She's so pretty," stu said, and Billy nodded in agreement, "Yeah, she's perfect,"
"I want her to be ours already," stu said , and Billy looked at him, "she already is," Billy told him
"Then how come we don't get to kiss her? Or hold her? " stu questioned, "because we need to have patience, or else she'll pull away from us," Billy told him
"I had patience for a whole year already," stu said, a small whine leaving him
"You don't think I'm running out of patience? Huh? Do you think it's easy for me too? I want her as much as you do, but we can't rush things," Billy told him , with a small glare
Stu sighs watching novalee chat with tatum and Sidney. He frowned , wishing he could have her already.
"Come on slow pokes!," novalee yelled as they were falling behind
"Come on idiot," Billy said, nudging stu with his elbow, and soon the two of them caught up with the girls. ----- After school, the group had parted ways , and Billy had arrived home, finding it envelope in the mailbox.
It was addressed to him, confused he opened it and found a small video tape , saying, "Watch me , confused." He walked inside of his home and into his room.
He grabbed his camera from the shelf, it was a gift from novalee , it was for his 13th birthday , and Billy kept it safe and well kept for years.
Billy sat on his bed before putting the tape inside of the camera and watching the video,
As he watched the video, his eyes watered, his hand's clenched in anger
He couldn't believe what he was watching, but then he remembered what novalee said last night
"I think my mom is cheating on my dad,"
Billy closed the camera, closing his eye's and taking a deep breath , but he was fucking pissed.
