Novalee sheepishly smiled at her father as the pugs sniffed him, "So...you found them?" Neil asked, looking at his daughter, who nodded

"Can we please keep them? Please? I promise I'll take good care of them," novalee said

"You promise that you'll look after them?" Neil questioned, and novalee nodded, "You named them already, didn't you?"

Novalee smiled, nodding once again, "Alright, fine, it'll be nice to have more company in the house anyways," Neil said,

Novalee squeals in happiness, hugging her father, who lets out a small laugh, hugging her back,

"Thanks dad," Neil kissed her head ,"no problem, sweetheart,"

"I'll go start on dinner, any suggestions?" Neil questioned, "uh...lasagna?with extra cheese?" Neil smiled, nodding

"Okay," with that he walked into the kitchen to start dinner,

Novalee smiled, doing a small victory dance.

As Neil was putting the lasagna on the table, the front door opened, "Dad! I'm home!" Sidney's voice rang out,

"We're in the dining room!" Neil replied, Sidney soon walked in, with billy following behind her ,

The pugs hesitantly walked over to them, sniffling them before wagging their tails ,

Billy bend down, petting the pugs, "uh, since when did we get dogs?" Sidney questioned

"Since novalee found them," Neil told her, "where did you find them?" Billy asked, looking up at novalee, who was digging into the lasagna,

"In a box in the sewer on my home, that's sir willam, that's little Stuart and that's sir Randell," novalee replied, pointing at each pup as she said their names ,

Billy looked at her with an amused look on his face ,"sir willam? Really?"

Novalee chuckled, nodding ,"uh-huh, he reminds me of you, you know, he even tried to sneak out the window already, twice in fact, "

Billy let out a small laugh, "billy, would you be staying for dinner?" Neil questioned,

"I wish, I've gotta get home, I'll see you later sid," billy pressed a kiss to Sidney's check ,

"See you later nova," billy said, giving her a small wave, "bye B, drive safe, " novalee said, giving him a small wave before focusing on her food, sneakily feeding, fat Louis, sir willam , sir Randell, and little Stuart,

Billy smiled before leaving the prescott house.

Since it was still a bit early, Neil had taken his daughters to the pet store, getting the stuff they needed for the pup's,

And soon they returned home, novalee with the help of Sidney had put the collars around the pup's, with their names on it,

"You guy's are so adorable," novalee told them,petting them,

"Hey, will you be okay walking the pup's by yourself?" Sidney questioned and novalee turned her head to look at her,

"I just need to talk to tatum before it gets late," Sidney added ,novalee let out a small smile ,"yeah sure, I'll be fine sid," novalee replied

"Okay, be back before dark," Sidney told her before walking up the stairs and into her room, closing the door behind her,

Novalee smiled at the pup's who were waiting patiently, "okay, let's do this,"

Novalee held three leashes in one hand, she was lucky that the pup's seemed to be well behaved, fat Louis walked beside her without a leash,

The sky was darkening, turning into night ,"come on pup's, fat Louis, let's go back home,"

"Novalee is that you?" Novalee looked to her left, seeing a young man smiling at her,

Novalee didn't know him but he felt safe, and her pets seemed to think so as well since they didn't bark or hissed at him,

"I'm sorry,..do I know you? If I do then I'm so sorry for not remembering you, I had an accident, and lost my memory, "novalee told him,

The young man face fell a little ,"oh, I'm so sorry, I'm Roman bridger,..I'm..uh..I'm you're friend," he introduced himself

Novalee smiled at him, "well it's nice to meet you again Roman, "

"Do you need any help with them?" Roman questioned,

Novalee wanted to say that she had it but her arm was starting to hurt, so she nodded ,"yeah, if it isn't any trouble,"

Roman shook his head, grabbing the leashes from novalee , "You're heading home?" He asked and novalee nodded

"Uh-huh, it's getting pretty dark outside," she replied ,"yeah, it is," Roman said

"You live around here Roman?" Novalee questioned as they walked to the prescott house,

"Uh..no, not really. I'm just visiting my family," he replied , "that's nice," novalee said, Roman smiled

"Yeah, it is,"

Soon novalee, her pets and Roman had arrived at the prescott house, "thank you Roman, " novalee said,

"No problem nova, is it okay if I call you that?" Roman asked and novalee nodded ,"yeah, it's alright, " she told him

"Well, I have to get going, it's nice to see you again nova," Roman said ,"it's was nice to meet you again Roman, get home safe, good night!" Novalee waved at Roman as he left,

"Who was that?" Startled novalee turned to face her sister ,"oh that was my friend, Roman, " novalee replied, taking the leashes off the pup's, they ran inside the house, fat Louis quickly following them,

Novalee winced a bit, as she moved her arm, "you okay?" Sidney asked and novalee nodded ,"uh-huh, I just need to rest my arm that all, I'm gonna head inside, get ready for bed, night sid,"
