Novalee took a sip of soda, focused on the movie playing on the screen. Julian sat next to her, with an arm stretched out behind her, with a bag of popcorn in hand,

He wasn't focusing on the movie. He was more focused on novalee,

He watched the way she smiled, or the way she giggled or let out a small laugh at the funny parts,

He watched her face lit up at the romantic parts, watched her get upset at the sad parts,

Julian has never seen someone as beautiful, caring, kind, brave, creative, as novalee,

She was just...something else,..something completely different from everyone else, and Julian just wants to have her,

Soon, the ending credits start to roll, and everyone starts to leave, "that was a great movie," novalee said, and Julian nodded

"Uh-huh," Julian mumbled, with a small nodded, "I especially loved the part where the alien falls in love with a human," novalee said

"Yeah, I like that part too," Julian said, and novalee let out a small laugh. Julian loves her laugh,

"What's so funny?" He questioned with a raised eyebrow, "Julian, there weren't any aliens in the movie. I know you weren't watching the movie," she told him

"Got something on your mind?" She questioned, looking at him in slight concern,

Julian smirked ," You, you're on my mind," novalee giggled, blushing

Julian chuckled before standing up and offering her a hand. She smiled and interlocked her hand with his, standing up before the two of them walked out of the movie theater,

Julian checked his watch before his eyes widened , cursing slightly, novalee looked over at him, with a confused look on her face,

"Everything okay?" She asked ,"it's nine :30. The movie must've run longer than it should've," Julian told her,

"Oh, I was supposed to be home 30 minutes ago," she said before her eyes widened ,"I was supposed to be home 30 minutes ago," she said again, this time freaking out,

"Oh, God, your friends are going to kill me," Julian said, novalee gave him a reassuring smile, "I'm sure they will understand,"

Novalee was wrong. Before she or Julian could get a word out, Billy had punched Julian in the face ,

"Fuck!"

"Billy! Don't," novalee stepped in front of Billy as he went to punch him again,

"Where the hell were you?" Billy questioned, "The movie ran late, okay? We didn't know until the movie ended ,we rushed back here as soon as we could," novalee explained

"You had us worried," stu said, coming up to her, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you guys worry, it won't happen again," she said

"Yeah, it won't because you're not dating him anymore," Billy told her ,

"Hey! Who the hell are you to decide that!?, huh?" Julian questioned,

"Someone who knows what's best for her," Billy replied,

"Billy, enough come on, leave it be," Sidney told him, grabbing his arm, but he shrugged her off,

"Guy's come on knock it off," Randy butted in ,

Julian rushed forward, trying to punch Billy, but he dogded it, and they started to fight,

"Billy! Stop!" Sidney shouted, "Julian! Stop it!" Novalee yelled,

"Stu do something!" Tatum said, and stu looked at her ," but I want to see Billy beat the shit out of Julian," Tatum glared at him, crossing her arms, he sighs and went over to Billy and Julian who were still fighting,

"Guy's knock it off!"

The next part happened so fast, nobody was expecting it,

Billy, Julian, or stu must've knocked novalee over. They didn't notice until novalee screamed, making them stop

"Nova!" Sidney shouted, rushing to her sister, who held her arm to her chest. The cast was staining red, tears streamed down novalees face, and a sob escaped her ,

"Nova! Oh my god! " Tatum gasped out, "call an ambulance!" Sidney said, and Tatum nodded, rushing inside the house,

"Sid, sid, I..I can't feel my hand, sid, I can't.. I can't move it," novalee sobbed out ,

The three boys stared at novalee with wide eyes, in horror,

"Hey, hey, it's going to be okay. You're going to be okay," Sidney told her,

"Nova.." Billy and stu took a step forward, "no! Don't stay away! Haven't you guys done enough?!" Sidney shouted at them,

Billy and stu looked at novalee, who was being held by Randy, sobbing into his chest, the sight broke their hearts , and knowing it was them that hurt her, broke them completely.

They never meant to hurt novalee. They never wanted to hurt her, but they did, and it hurt like hell.

Maureen died on September 28, 1995, so two days later, it turned to 1996,

So these chapters are set during 1996, so somewhere between chapters twelve and thirteen is when it became 1996,

In these few chapters, it is somewhere in the middle of February ,

I hope that it makes sense,
