Roman had dropped off novalee at home, but he couldn't stick around, novalee waved, and he drove away

"Goodbye Roman, Roman bridger," she said, giggling to herself . She stumbled forward only to give up on the porch swing

Lightly swing herself back and forth , pulling the jacket closer as the wind blew softly, making her shiver,

She heard a meow and she looked down and smiled seeing fat Louis, "Hey fat Louis, you can't try and unlock the door for me?" She asked, picking him up and settling him on her lap

"Eh, that's alright, I'll wait for sid to come home. It's a nice night away," she mumbled

Novalee slowly closed her eyes, falling alseep on the porch swing, with fat Louis on her lap.

Billy and Sidney walked back into the living room , pausing as they didn't see novalee on the couch

"Hey, yo steve! Did you see where Nova went?" Billy questioned a drunk steve

"Yeah! She walked out of the living room a few minutes ago, and she looked upset," he slurred out before passing out on the couch

Billy silently cursed before going to check the house ,"Hey, you saw Nova?" He asked stu who was in the kitchen with Randy and Tatum

"No, wasn't she in the living room?" Billy shook his head ,"No, she's gone," Sidney rushed into the kitchen

"I can't find her anywhere," she told them, a panick and worried look on her face

The others quickly sobered up, "we'll help search for her,"

They searched the whole house but couldn't find her, "maybe she went home," Tatum suggested

"But all of us are here. How would she get home?" Randy said, "she probably walked. She's probably still walking," Billy said

"A drunk girl walking home alone at night doesn't usually end well," Randy spoke up

"Shut up, let's go find her," Billy said, rushing out of Casey's house, stu quickly right behind him

The group didn't find novalee, deciding to head to the prescott house, they drove over their

Billy, stu, and Randy arrived first, before Tatum and Sidney, Billy and stu quickly got out of the car, walking towards the house but stopping shortly as they heard fat Louis hiss

"Oh, thank god!" Stu said, sighing in relief as they saw novalee on the porch swing safe and sound , fat Louis guarding her

Billy felt like he could breathe again, and he let out a deep breath ,"Oh, thank god! Nova!" Sidney pushed past them and towards novalee, who slowly woke up, whining a bit as Sidney pulled her into a tight hug

Fat Louis let his guard down and hopped down, going over to Billy and stu, purring as he scratched himself on their legs

"Nova, how did you get here?" Sidney asked, pulling back and looking at her sister with relief, knowing that she was safe

"You left me sid, so I walked home until the nice man gave me a ride home," she told her

The group shared a look ,Billy walked over, kneeling in front of novalee. "What, man?" He asked, and novalee pouted at him, crossing her arms

"I'm not talking to you, Billy loomis," a look of hurt crossed Billy's face ,"well why not?" He softly asked

"Because you left me," she told him ,"well, I'm so sorry, nova, please, please forgive me?" Billy pleaded , novalee looked at him, her eyes softening

"How can I stay mad at you, Billy? How can I stay mad at any of you,I forgive you guys," novalee said ,

"You shouldn't have accepted a car ride from a stranger. It was dangerous," Sidney told her

"But he wasn't a stranger, I knew his name, and he knew mine, so we weren't strangers," novalee told them , letting out a small yawn

"Come on, let's get you inside," Sidney said, standing up along with Billy, who helped novalee to stand

"Come on, fat Louis," novalee bends down, picking up her cat, before standing up and leaning on stu for support, Billy was on the other side of her, making sure she didn't fall

Stu and Billy helped novalee to her room. She dropped herself on her bed, kicking her shoes off and going under the blankets. She hugged fat Louis close to her

"Billy, stu... I think my mom is cheating on my dad ," she mumbled before falling asleep

Billy and stu shared a look," you guy's should let her sleep," They both turned and saw Sidney by the door,

They glanced at novalee one more time before walking out of the room.
