Sometimes, friends aren't who they said they were. Sometimes, they weren't really your friends at all.
Novalee found out the hard way. She couldn't believe it. If she had found out from someone else, she definitely wouldn't have believed it, but she heard it, but yet she couldn't believe how deeply betrayed she felt.
She should've known, she should've known that it was too easy to make friends, especially people like Casey and steve,

Novalee was at the mall, just walking around, looking at stuff, with her headphones on, her walkman playing, "Smells like Teen Spirit " by nirvana,

She should really thank them for helping billy the other day,
She walked over to them, pausing her music, she was about to her open her mouth to speak but Casey words stopped her,
"Can you believe that nova is banging both billy and stu?" Casey said with a shake of her head,
"Yeah, she's such a slut, " steve replied, "why are we friends with her again?" He asked, and Casey scoffed
"Because idiot, Sidney asked us too remember? She didn't want her sister to not have any friends, and she didn't want nova to be friends with her friends, so she told us to become Novas friends," Casey explained and novalee eye's widen in shock,
"But God, nova is so annoying, so needy, and the only thing she's good for, is showcasing her body, and spreading her legs," Casey added,
"Well, she definitely has a nice body," steve said,
Casey rolled her eye's,"shut up," steve let out a small laugh,
"And you know what else I hate about her? That she thinks that she's better than everyone else, God she is so pathetic, and a cry baby, can't even take an insult without bursting into tears," Casey said,
Novalee took a deep breath, trying so hard not to cry, she couldn't believe what they were saying,
"And ugh! Don't get me started on stu, he's so annoying and so much more needy than nova, his ADHD, God, he can't even shut up or sit down," Casey said,
Novalee clenched her fist, as anger took over her body,
"Hey casey!" She spoke up and Casey turned around, and novalee punched her in the face,
"You're a fucking bitch! "Novalee yelled, bystanders stopped to watch the drama unfold,
"What the fuck nova!?" Steve angrily shouted and novalee glared at him, "you can call me annoying, needy or a slut but don't you ever call stu annoying or needy," novalee told them, in a threatening tone,
"You heard?" Casey asked in shock, and novalee angry eye's turned sad before turning angry again,
"Yeah, I did, and you know what?, I'm better off without friends like you two," novalee told them, with a shake of her head, before turning around and walking away. --- Novalee had went to stu's house, she walked up the porch stairs, raising her hand, knocking
And she patiently waited for the door to be answered,
She didn't have to wait long before the door was answered, stu smiled at her,
"Nova! I didn't know you were coming over, come in, come in," stu stepped aside and let novalee in,
As stu closed the door, novalee let out a small sob before hugging stu, stu instantly hugged her back,
"Hey, what's wrong?" Stu worriedly question, novalee pulled back, before cupping stu's face in her hands,
"You're perfect, no matter what anyone says okay? You are not annoying or needy okay? " She told him,
Stu frowned, "you..you heard about that?"
"You knew?" Stu nodded, "y-yeah,..Casey would always tell me, and my parents too, but don't cry nova, it's okay," stu told her, wiping her tears and novalee shook her head,
"But it's not. It's not okay stu, you shouldn't be called that," she told him,and stu pulled her into a hug ,
She sniffled, "I just found out Sidney made Casey and steve be friends with me , they weren't my friends at all stu,"
Stu held her tighter, "I'm so sorry," tears slid down his face
