Novalee slowly open her eye's, blinking to adjust them to the light, she looked down at her arm, noticing it was in a different cast and on a sling,

Novalee looked around the room before noticing billy who was slouch on the chair, his legs stretched out ,resting on the end of her hospital bed, his head was thrown back, with crossed arms,

He was sleeping, she saw another chair next to him but it was empty. She let's out a small sigh, before turning her head towards the door when she heard it open,

Stu walked in holding two cups of coffee, looking a bit tired. He stopped as he spotted novalee awake,

He smiled, "You're awake," he said in a whisper,

"How are you feeling? Any pain?" He questioned, putting the cups of coffee down on the table next to the bed,

"I'm okay, no pain, how long have you guy's been here?" Novalee whispered,

"Since last night, we didn't want to leave you, so the nurses told us we could stay as long as we didn't disturb the other patient's," stu told her, reaching out and grabbing her hand in his,

"Billy fell asleep like an hour ago, do you want me to wake him?" Stu asked, and novalee shook her head ,"no let him sleep," stu nodded

"Hey," novalee tugged on stu's hand, getting his attention, stu's blue eyes met novalees honey brown eyes,

"Are you okay? Have you slept yet? You look tired," novalee questioned

Stu gave her a small smile ,"I can't really sleep, don't worry about me, I'll be okay,"

Novalee stared at him before she scoot a bit before patting the hospital bed, "come on, you need to rest,"

"It's okay, you do-" stu cut himself off as he noticed the look novalee was giving him, he stood up, and carefully laid down next to novalee , he laid on his side, resting his head on her shoulder, and he carefully put an arm over her waist,

Novalee brought her hand, and started to softly run her fingers through his hair,

She softly started to hum, and stu was slowly closing his eye's,

Novalee glanced down at stu as she finished singing, finding him alseep, a small tear escape her eye,

She looked away and look up at the ceiling as more tears escape her,

She loved them, she loved them more than anything, but it could never work,

She can't even remember them, no matter how hard she tries, she could never remember them, and it pains her ,

She'll just keep hurting them, and she doesn't want to keep hurting them ,

"Nova?" She looked over, seeing billy who was awake now, He stood up and walked to the other side , cupping her face ,looking at her with concern and worried eyes ,

"Are you okay? Are you in pain?" Billy questioned and novalee shook her head,

"It..it could never work billy," she whispered, he wiped her tears ,"what can't?" He softly asked

"Us, you, me and stu, I can't even remember you , no matter how hard I try, i cause you pain every day, my sister loves you, Casey loves stu, I can't...I can't love you or stu...no matter how much I want too, I can't, and I'm sorry," novalee told him,

"I'll break up with Sidney, and stu will break up with Casey, and I know that you will remember us one day, I just know it, and it will work, we'll make it work," billy told her,

"Billy -" novalee started but was cut off by billy, who leaned down kissing her, her eyes widen before she relaxed, slowly kissing back,

Billy pulled back ,"we can make it work, just give us a chance,.....please," billy whispered,

Novalee stared at him before slowly nodding ,"okay, okay, but...we have to take things slow, okay? "

Billy smiled , pressing a quick kiss to novalee lips, "you won't regret it,"

"How long has he been alseep?" Billy questioned gesturing to stu ,"only a couple of minute's, " novalee replied,

"We'll tell him the good news when he wakes up, " billy said and novalee nodded ,

"Get some more rest Nova, " billy told her, pressing a kiss to her head, before doing the same with stu,

"I'll watch over you guys,"
