Beneath the moon, my thoughts wander
How much longer must I ponder?
Through searching eyes, I perceive,
The endless stretch, will it ever leave?
A sudden entrapment takes its hold,
No solace near, a story untold
Tears descend, a silent stream
Deaf ears surround, lost in a dream.
In the dark, I roam with no guide,
A forbidden park, where shadows hide
Yearning for a glimmer, a spark,
In this abyss, enveloped in the dark
Seeking a light, a hopeful trace,
Yet, I know it's a fruitless chase.
Lies echo, a relentless sound,
Preserving sanity, truths confound.
This pain declared as benign,
Yet, within me, it intertwines
Standing tall amid the strife,
Hating it all, this tortured life.
Months trapped, an unbroken spell,
I survived, though my soul dwells.
Frozen as the morning dew,
Waiting for someone to construe.
In the silence, my heart is torn,
Scared, pleading to be reborn.
Shouting in vain, unheard cries,
Truths concealed, masked in lies
Aching for liberation, an end,
Yet, happiness is just pretend.
No joy, society's puppetry,
Total control, a harsh decree
This chapter concludes, I yearn no more,
Sick to the core, my heart is sore
Alas, I'll end it, set me free,
I give up, my final plea.
