It's deeply saddening to witness all of this unfold,

What else have we missed, in this story yet untold?

France bans the abaya and hijab, adding to the strife,

Hate seems to flourish, carving divisions with a knife

Burning the Quran, claiming it's free speech's embrace,

But is this the lesson, tolerance we should chase?

Shame should be felt, for this is simply wrong,

What dark thoughts brew in minds, to sing this evil song?

Muslim hate crimes, scattered here and there,

Hate knows no bounds, it's felt everywhere

They say we have rights, but it's hard to believe,

When falsehoods and prejudice are all they weave
