#Yatiz is a story focusing on the lives of young people in a small seaside municipality called Carmen in the southern part of the Philippines. The name is based on a cuss word here, "Yati/Yatis" that has no English equivalent but is closest to WTF.

JR is listening to music. He checks the time on his phone and looks ahead to see what's keeping the queue from moving.
There seems to be a problem with the cash register.
From afar, he can make out the person in charge scrambling, trying to write down the purchases on a notebook and her colleague helping her out with collecting the payments.
Meanwhile, the song starts to intensify in his ears. He bobs his head along, getting ready to mime along to the climax.
But as the song reaches its peak, it pauses.
Annoyed, JR takes out his phone and sees that he has received a message. He opens it and it's from the mystery texter.

UNKNOWN NUMBER: HI, BABY FACE! GOODL LUCK WITH THAT LONG-ASS QUEUE. YOU'RE SO HANDSOME TODAY. :)
He quickly looks up to see if he can find out who's texting him. Suddenly, he feels a tap on his back. He turns around and sees Hamza, waving at him.
She's saying something but JR can't hear her.
He removes his earphones. "Hi," he says, still a bit distracted. "Sorry, naa ka'y giingon?"
"SORRY, DID YOU SAY SOMETHING?"
"Wala. Nag-hi lang pud ko. Nakit-an naman tika ganina pero pero maulaw lang ko kay basig dili ikaw."
