36. Familiar Settings.

As the morning sun painted the room in a warm glow, I slowly opened my eyes to the gentle touch of sweet kisses on my neck, sending a delightful shiver down my spine.

A wave of joy washed over me, and I couldn't help but smile, feeling utterly content. "Good morning sunshine," came Dante's soft voice, whispered lovingly into my ear.

With love in my heart, I replied, "Good morning, my dear husband." 

"Wait, we are still married, are we?" I questioned wide eyed.

"Of course we are wifey." Dante teased, making me blush.

As I reveled in his affection, I moaned with delight as he began to explore further, tracing a path of bliss down my body. However, our intimate moment was suddenly interrupted as the door swung open with an exuberant bang.

"Daddyyyyy!" our twins' ecstatic voices rang through the air, echoing with excitement as they rushed into the room, unaware of our interrupted embrace.

Thankfully, I had managed to put on one of Dante's shirts earlier this morning after taking a shower due to the numerous sex positions Dante wanted to put me in. I watched as Dante's face lit up with joy, eagerly scooping up both babies into his loving arms, their laughter filling the room like music.

Amidst everything, I chuckled and tried to quickly fix my disheveled hair. In those fleeting moments of interruption, our love for each other and for our babies grew stronger.

As I gazed at my husband enveloped in the embrace of our giggling twins, I couldn't help but feel a deep sense of gratitude and happiness for the love and joy that was once missing now surrounding us.

In the cozy embrace of her father's arms, little Ava softly murmured, "Daddy, you said we would go home today. When are we going home?"

With tender assurance, Dante replied, "Today, baby girl. Once I manage to close up a few things at work, then we'll go straight home."

As I smiled and reached out to take Aiden into my arms, he responded with a playful side-eye before happily returning to his father's loving hold. My heart warmed as my twins seemed completely absorbed in their father's presence, paying me no mind whatsoever.

Determined to win some of their attention, I playfully pinned down my giggling son on the bed, tickling him and eliciting joyful laughter. "Give Mumma a kiss," I playfully teased, and he obediently obliged, filling my heart with love.

The twins' innocence and affectionate nature were truly heartwarming, and I couldn't help but feel overwhelmed with joy at their adorable antics.

With an innocent and hopeful look in his eyes, Aiden asked his father, "Can aunt May come too?" Both twins seemed adamant about not wanting to leave their beloved aunt, and I couldn't help but smile at their attachment to her.

"Of course, Aunt May will be coming with us," Dante replied, planting a loving kiss on Aiden's cheek. Observing Dante's continuous display of affection towards our twins, I couldn't help but be in awe of just how adorable they all were together.

Dante had thoughtfully arranged for some help to pack our belongings from my previous apartment.

"I'll be taking the twins to work with me today if that's not a problem?" Dante asked and I watched as the twins stared at me with hope.

Dante's love and excitement for the twins were so evident; he didn't want to spend even a single minute without them while they were awake. His dedication as a father was truly remarkable and heartwarming.

"Of course," I said with a smile as Dante leaned in to passionately kiss me on the lips. The twins playfully teased us with an "Ewww" before their father swiftly tickled them, filling the room with their laughter once again.
