“Rei?” (F/n) said in disbelief.
Rei was in shock, “(F/n)?”
The two of them stared at one another before they ran up to each other. They hugged tightly, not being able to believe that they were reunited one more. Natsu scrunched her face up in jealousy while Kisho stared in awe at what Rei looked like. Ayaka-sensei and the coach watched intently, their hearts warmed by the mini-reunion. The two eventually pulled away from one another and Rei was the first to speak up.
“I never thought I’d be able to see you again,” he said, “I’m sorry I had to leave daycare,”
“It’s okay,” (F/n) shook her head, “my mommy stop making me go a little bit after you left,”
Rei then turned to (F/n)’s friends and introduced himself, “Hello! My name is Fujiwara Rei and (F/n) and I used to be best friends when we went to daycare together,”
Natsu was the first to reply and walked closer and put her hand out, “I’m Hinata Natsu!”
“Nice to meet you,” Rei shook her hand.
Kisho slowly got out of his gaze and walked over timidly, “I-I’m Sugawara Kisho,”
Rei smiled, “nice to meet you, Kisho,”
The coach coughed, earning everyone’s attention.
“I’m coach Yamada,” he looked at Ayaka-sensei, “I’m assuming they are here to join the volleyball team?”
“Yep,” Ayaka-sensei said, “(F/n) and Natsu want to join,”
The coach raised his eyebrow, “what about the boy?”
“He wants to be the manager rather than a player,” Ayaka-sensei explained.
The coach thought about it, “well, it would be nice to have two managers,” he turned to Rei, “you wouldn’t mind another person’s help right?”
Rei shook his head, “no, I don’t mind,”
Coach Yamada smiled, “well then, it’s settled,” he turned to the girls, “practice is starting next week, hope to see you there,”
Coach Yamada then walked off to talk to another coach. Ayaka-sensei smiled and looked at the group, “well then, you guys should tell your parents about this so they could buy some volleyball gear for you guys,”
The trio nodded and looked at each other.
“We’re going to be volleyball players!” Natsu said excitedly, jumping up and down while holding onto (F/n)’s hands.
(F/n) smiled slightly and looked at Kisho, “and you’re going to be our other manager,”
Kisho smiled, “I know! I can’t wait to tell Kiyoko,”
