THE curse on his face would never be lifted, but it could be concealed through the reason behind the curse's existence. Xibel performed the curse out of love, and one way to get out of it was just simply the same feeling.

But this was absurd. A human in the real dimension having feelings for him? A total absurbity!

Heart still pounding, he looked at the system. "System, is this even possible? How can my curse works against a human in this odd place?"

[Response System: You are still a fictional character bounded by the story The Reincarnated Actress. Because of this reason, the rule behind your curse will remain effective to the ones who will have feelings for you.]

"Why are you letting a woman fall for me? Wouldn't it be a hassle for you when I return? You can't let this happen!"

[Response System: We can't control a human's heart, but we can only alter their memory once you returned. Rest assured that there will be no harm nor an aftereffect, and they will do fine when you leave the real dimension.]

A suddeng jolt of pain stung his back after hearing it. "They will forget me?"

[Response System: They will forget you exist in this dimension, but you will remain as a fictional character in their memory.]

Mariin siyang napapikit. Nagtungo siya sa kaniyang kama at saka humiga. At some point, he agreed with the system's decision. To avoid any further complications, it was better to alter their memory. They wouldn't need to question his disappearance too.

But Imris . . .

Imris forgetting him seemed to pain him.

NAGTAKA si Jasia nang kumaripas ng takbo ni Xibel patapos. Kahit na nagtataka siya ay hindi muna niya ito sinundan at naglakad papunta sa kusina kung saan naroroon ang tatlo.

Naabutan niya si Arator na nagtitimpla ng gatas. Si Isabella at Imris naman ay magkaharap. Isabella was squatting on the floor to meet Imris' eyes.

What were they doing looking so serious with each other? Walang nagsasalita sa kanilang dalawa.

Nilagay niya sa lamesa ang dinala niyang donut. "Kain muna kayo."

Hindi siya pinansin ni Isabella at tinuro ang noo ni Imris. "You have such a big forehead."

"I bet you have a big forehead too. You're just covering it with your bangs!" Imris stuck her tongue out.

Isabella imitated her and stuck her tongue out. "At least may bangs ako pangtakip. Ikaw ba mayroon?"

"I'm pretty without it unlike you!"

Napahawak naman si Isabella sa kaniyang puso at gulat na tiningnan si Imris. "Anak ka nga siguro talaga ni Xibel. Mga bunganga niyo ang foul."

"You started it," natatawa singit at lumapit sa dalawa. Inabutan niya ito ng tig-iisang donut.

Kumuha siya ng platito at nilagyan iyon ng donut. "Puntahan ko lang si Xibel."

"Why? Ba't mo pupuntahan 'yon? Susunggaban ka lang n'yon," sabi ni Isabella habang ngumunguya.

"Papa and Mama are not going to fight!" sagot ni Imris habang ngumunguya rin.

Nag-make face naman si Isabella. "Edi hindi! Pero seryoso nga, Jas. That guy hates women! Nagulat nga ako at pumayag siyang pumasok sa deal na 'to."

Bahagya naman siyang natawa. "I know. But we're better now."

Nagpaalam na siya sa dalawa at umakyat sa second floor. Nakangiti niyang kinatok ang pinto.

"Xibel, may pagkain akong dala. You might want to try this." Hinintay niya itong sumagot pero wala.
