I woke up wrapped in Justin's arms. I loved waking up like that.

The sun shined through the small window and I realised we were probably late for breakfast.

I quickly sat up and managed to wake Justin in the process.

"What's going on?" He groaned. "Lie down, baby."

"Justin, we slept in. We missed breakfast."

"We had jetlag. It's no big deal."

"What if your grandparents find it rude?"

"They won't, Dileah. Lay with me for five minutes." He looked at me with his sleepy eyes and I smiled.

I stroked his cheek and ran my fingers through his messy hair then rested my head on his chest.

He wrapped his arms around me.

"You woke me up." He complained.

"I'm sorry, baby."

"How did you sleep?"

"Well... considering how small this bed is compared to the one in Miami and the one in Paris..."

"I kept you warm throughout the night."

"You and the room's heater." I smiled.

"I did a better job than the heater."

"Indeed, you did."

I could sense Justin was smiling.

"How did you sleep?" I asked.

"Peacefully. I always sleep well when I'm with you."

I looked up at Justin and stroked his cheek.

"You're so corny, I love it."

Justin smiled.

"We should go down for breakfast. Maybe those chocolate muffins are waiting." He said.

"Behave yourself this morning and I might sneak you some." I climbed up over Justin to get out of bed.

"I always behave myself."

"You think so."

I got my toiletries out of my suitcase and went to find the bathroom so I could get cleaned up.

After getting dressed and managing my hair, I made the bed and headed downstairs to see if I could be of any help while Justin showered.

"I was wondering when you'd be up." Diane smiled at me when I walked into the kitchen.

"Sorry. Justin and I were really tired."

"It's alright. I managed to bake those muffins I promised so you can have those with your breakfast. I made some omelettes, there's toast and some fruit salad left over from yesterday morning."

"Sounds delicious." I smiled.

"I love cooking." Diane told me. "It keeps me busy."

"Where's Bruce?" I went to plate up some food for myself and Justin.

Diane boiled the kettle.

"He set out to look for a Christmas tree."

"Oh. At the mall?"

"No, sweetie." Diane giggled, "He gets it from the forest."

"Won't he get hurt? I mean, Justin could've gone with..."

"No, it's okay, Dileah. Relax. Bruce is a big boy." She smiled.

I nodded my head.

"Besides, we didn't want to wake you up. I can only imagine how exhausting the trip from Paris to Canada must've been."
