"Take a look inside your heart
Is there any room for me?"

I can't believe how far I've come with Jason. We've been through a lot for 8 months! Wait...Is that long enough? I mean,it's almost a year, just 4 more months right?...

But it didn't matter to me as I picked out a specific pair of Nike Air that hasn't even been out yet for the Anniversary Gift. The anniversary which is tomorrow. Jason has this love for Nikes that I'd never understand, and I can't wait to see the look on his face when he sees me holding this.

Excited,I rushed out the store more than ready to come home and get things ready for movie night with my best friend,Star.

20 minutes later there was a knock on the door, and I let my best friend into my mansion. But instead of her usual excited look that my anniversary is tomorrow, she looked disappointed?

My grin turned into a frown in a second as I let her in,then she made a beeline to the couch,me following after.

"What's wrong?" I gave her a curious concerned look as she glared at the floor. Then she shook her head and scoffed.

"Jason." My heart dropped at the possible scenarios he could've been involved in. "I'm sorry Amy but there's something he's been hiding for a while now. On my way here I saw him with a girl, his hands were around her waist and it looked as if..." She gagged as I tried to proccess her words. "it looks as if they were kissing. I stayed back to listen and he said something about loving her and never leaving her again."

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Basically my 8 month boyfriend is cheating on me and tomorrow is supposed to be our anniversary.

Cette la vie.

She looked up at me,trying to look for any possible emotions. But I don't show emotion. Not to these type of things at least.

I pulled out my phone and called him,and for the first time in today,he answered. My heart dropped again once I heard how breathless he sounded, and how he tried to cover it. I gave one last glance to Star, before looking at nowhere in particular, then making sure to put on a sweet voice as I spoke.

"Where have you been, I've been calling."

"You miss me?" I would've found that cute, but right now it sounded like he had too much ego or pride or something.

"No. Just answer my question." He chuckled.

"I went grocery shopping,maybe that's why I couldn't receive your calls."

"Mmhmm yeah sure. I just wanted to tell you we're done. Over. A closed chapter." I said swinging my legs on the couch. No trace of anger or sadness was in my voice.

"Huh?!" There was silence for a bit. "Why?"

I didn't answer him. Instead,I hung up, then hugged Star very tight, thanking her as she soothed me.

Turns out all I needed was a best friend taking me out everywhere everytime during the weekend and the sweet smell and mood of the cafe to forget about Jason. Needless to say,I was hardly at home.

I woke up refreshed, staring into space as the sunrays seeped into the room through closed curtains. I quickly freshened up,meeting my brother downstairs and hitting him on the head as a greeting. We ate breakfast at a slow pace, taking our time. I listened to him telling me about his date with Aimee,a very sweet and fun girl.

"So what's the reason you were hardly at home this weekend." He asked as he started the car and reversed out into the road. "Wasn't your anniversary this weekend or something?"
