"You can't even touch grass
You can't even go back home
Once you're in Ohio"

There was no way I would tell him the reason.

I was trying to keep up some sort of profile with him. Have this teasing/flirting game with him. Not let him think I'm one of those girls that blush every single time and start stammering. Yes, I blush sometimes, but I still tease back.

So if I'm trying to do that, how could I tell him that I didn't kiss my ex mainly because I thought of him? What would he think?...

Maybe if I just wait till we get home....

"Amy."

"How long till we reach my home?"

"Don't answer my question with a question."

"Do answer my question which is a reply to your question with an answer." He gave me an incredulous look before shaking his head.

"You said I was free to pry."

"And you have."

"I'm not done."

"Well I am. You can pry another day."

"Why?"

"You...have limited questions!"

I think it's obvious I didn't think of anything better to say.

"And...you're out." I added.

".....What?" I looked away, feeling stupid while trying to avoid his gaze.

"Focus on the road and stop looking at me." I mumbled. He did that without saying anything. No one said anything till we got home. I opened the car door quickly, only able to step one foot out before he held my wrist and pulled me back in. I landed back in the seat with a thud, closing my eyes as I tried to calm myself down. But when I opened them, they immediately met with Xavier's sinking ones.

I couldn't breath. I couldn't think. I could only focus on his eyes. It still held that hint of upsetness it had after he joined I and Jason's little party. It had vulnerability, it had something that I couldn't wrap my finger around that swirled around and around like some sort of fire. I saw it the last time this happened. The last time we were too close.

Sort of abruptly, he quickly pecked my lips and pulled away, sinking back into his seat. His eyes were squeezed shut, almost like he was trying to get something out of his mind.

I don't know what got into me, but I leaned in closer and pecked his lips back. His eyes snapped open.

"Good bye!" I said innocently. I didn't really have the time to process what the heck I just did, until I was on my bed.

See, I told you I was keeping up some sort of profile. I'm not a hopeless blushing girl who can't take control atleast some times.

And I'm sure that's what he likes. Whatever that means. *Innocent smirk*

Once again my thoughts were interrupted before they could go far by a knock on my door. And when it still opened before I could answer, I knew exactly who it was. I removed my hand from my closed eyes, staring up at him with a questioning look. His lips were pressed together, like he was thinking of a better way to put whatever he was about to say.

"Mom and dad...they want to have dinner with us."

I blinked.

"What?"
