Chapter 6 - Shocking Surprise.

"Ahhh!" Ash exclaimed happily as he washed his face. "It feels good to finally have gotten rid of that long hair and beard. What do you say Pikachu?" Ash asked smilingly at his partner who stood on the sink, watching it's trainer with a large smile.

"Pika-chupika!" Pikachu squeaked happily. It had been a long time since Pikachu saw his trainer in a good mood. And seeing his old and familiar hairstyle, Pikachu couldn't help but agree with his trainer.

Ash turned the watertap off and turned to Pikachu. "Hop on buddy." He said with a smile. "We've got to go to Alola!"

"Chuu!" Pikachu squeaked, immediately jumping onto his trainer's shoulder. Ash had changed into some newer clothes that were still mostly in the style of the ones he wore during his Kalos travels a few years back. However he still held on to his large, ragged robe that covered his clothes. It was still a way to seal his identity a bit as he didn't want to be recognised. He had been away from the outside world for so long, he didn't even know that people believed him to have dissapeared or even dead.

Ash stepped out of the room he stayed in the night after hearing that he was challenged for the title. He put on his hood and left the pokemon center but not without thanking nurse Joy for taking care of his pokemon and that she could find him a room on such short notice.

He stepped out of the pokemon center and looked around. There weren't too many people around as lots of them had already left the Indigo Plateau the night before. He turned to the woods and walked into that direction.

It took only a few minutes for him to get into the woods where he took out a pokeball. He enlarged it and pressed the button, allowing it to open up. White light materialised in a brown feathery bird with long orange and yellow manes. "Pidgeot-tooo!" It squeaked loudly at being released from it's pokeball.

"Hey Pidgeot." Ash stroked his hand underneath the pokemon's beak who seemed to enjoy the affection. "Can you fly me to Viridian City?"

"Geot-tooo!" Pidgeot screeched, taking air moments later with Ash and Pikachu on its back.

Pidgeot landed just outside the airport of Viridian City. Ash returned the bird pokemon quickly, thanking it for it's assistance before he and Pikachu headed inside.

He ordered a plane ticket to Alola and luckily for Ash and Pikachu, he managed to get a ticket for the next plane which would take off in a hour.

Ash used the time to order a quick snack and something to drink for him and Pikachu. They sat down at a bench with a large glass window infront of it, overlooking the large area where all the planes were.

"You're so beautiful that you could pierce my heart a million times and it would still beat with love for you!"

Ash turned around to see a brown, spiky haired man in a white coat. He seemed very familiar to him.
