Today will be a special chapter as we've reached a special date in the history of the anime. As it stands, today, the 27th of October is known as the day where Ash and Serena canonically kissed. Many of us will still have that scene on the escalator imprinted in our minds and thus, we will cherish that moment.

Therefore, I'm gonna take you out of the normal story for a small moment to give you a chapter that hopefully brings back some of that spark that we had when we saw them for the last time in Kalos, and for the last time we saw them together in Hoenn.

Ash and Serena, a moment to never forget...

Lumiose City Airport, Kalos Region.

After the Kalos League had ended, and the Kalos crisis was over, it was time to depart. The airport had been rebuild to a certain extend that it was operational again.

Lysander had thrown Lumiose City in an absolute chaos. It was thanks to a combined effort of Ash, Clemont, Serena and Bonnie, along with all Kalos' gym leaders and other trainers, they managed to stop the disaster from happening.

It had been a few weeks since that incident and every available person, helped in repairing the city.

Serena was the first to leave. Ash, Clemont and Bonnie had joined her to watch her going. The ordeal was quite emotional with the group breaking up as everyone was about to go their seperate ways.

Serena yelled out to Ash, running up the elevator. Ash was confused to say the least but that would be the least he'd be thinking about.

Before he knew it, a pair of lips touched his. The feeling was sensational, something he had never experienced, ever.

The feeling was brief, as the escalator forced her down again but to Ash, this feeling was something he had never even dreamed off. It went by so fast, yet it kept his mind racing as he watched her, blushing like crazy as her embarrassed posture moved down with the escalator.

"Thank you!" She blurted out. "Your the person I wanna be!" She added, her embarrassment fading as she continued. "Next time we meet, you're gonna like the person I have grown into!" She added.

A large smile spread across his face, his cheeks widening as he shouted and waved her success.

The scene faded like a memory in Serena's head. It had been nine years since her ten year old self had done that bold move. She remembered that moment fondly and couldn't help but smile when she did.

Since then, her career had skyrocketed. She went to Hoenn as planned, which proved to be a great success. She did really well in her first contest, which ended up in a semi final loss against May. She was proud with herself to say the least.

After her adventure in Hoenn, Serena left for Kalos again. She went home for a two week period before she took up on Palermo's offer and participated in showcases again.

Now, fully developed in her skills as a performer, and her body in perfect shape, along with Palermo's guidance, Serena dominated the showcase scene, outperforming her friends and rivals with ease, getting herself in the finals of the masterclass for a second time.
