will woke up to a snoring richie, he smiled lightly and internally freaked out when he got a phone call. he quickly picked it up and glanced at richie to make sure he was still asleep, he was. "hello?"

"hey will," it was eddie?

"hey?" will looked at richie who was still fast asleep.

"you need to end this."

"what?" will started to panic.

"he actually loves you and it's getting kinda sad that he believes you love him too." will hesitated biting his lip and once again looking back at the sleeping boy.

"i do love him." will stated hanging up, he tried to keep his composure but he instantly huffed for a breath. will sat on his bed scrolling through his phone until richie woke up.

"mornin' byers," richie smiled and will returned it.

"how'd you sleep?"

"incredible," richie groaned stretching and slapping on his glasses. will laughed a bit before getting out of bed and pulling richie up. the two went downstairs to find will's whole family already eating breakfast. el gave them a bit of a look but richie shrugged it off, will not so much. the two sat down with their plates as johnathon excused himself. richie took a bite of scrambled eggs and beamed.

"it tastes really good ms. byers!"

"thank you richie," she laughed a bit then the table fell silent. almost, the two boys were silently laughing together and el couldn't help but glare a bit. when will would meet her eyes they'd sink a little into themselves and almost shut up, but richie would say something dumb and he'd laugh. after breakfast the pair decided to bike into town and finally arrived at a park. the two began to chat up a storm annoying everyone around them but they didn't seem, or couldn't find the time, to care. richie pulled will up from his seat, "Wanna go to the quarry?" will blushed, whether richie realized it or not, the request was very romantic. it was the place they became official and will began to dread stepping foot on the gravel again. when they reached the very same spot richie had asked will to be his boyfriend. richie began to kick rocks off the edge into the quarry, "why'd you say yes?" he asked, not really expecting an answer

"um..." did richie know? will turned a bit red.

"i mean, are you happy? with me, I mean." this time richie turned to face will

"i am, i'm just scared." will took richie's hand.

"why?" their eyes met

"i'm afraid it'll change everything." will wasn't totally answering richie's question now

"is it my fault?" will shook his head and richie smiled a bit, "good, cause i wanna get rid of your fear." richie cupped wil's hands and will took in a sharp breath. when they met eyes again will couldn't help but lean into richie.
