"Are you sure about this?"

You watched Toby as he messed with his laces. His whole plan had you worried; You knew most would be supporting of you and the relationship, but,,, they weren't the ones you were worried about.

"Yeah, it'll be fine." Toby stood up and walked over to you. He cupped your face in his hands and kissed you gently. "Don't w-worry about them. I'll p-protect you." He smiled and you smiled back.

"Do y-you trust me?" He took your hand and interlocked your fingers with his.

"Yes. I'm just I'm just worried. I don't want them to dislike me..." He chuckled and you sheepishly smiled.

"Trust m-me, they'll like you." He slightly tugged at your arm and grinned. "Now, let's g-go, sweetheart!" You cocked your head to the side and matched his grin.

"Sweetheart?" He blushed a bit and scratched the back of his neck.

"I thought i-it was cute..."

You two had been walking for about an hour. Toby kept saying you were almost there, but you just kept walking. You almost thought he was going the wrong way.

"You keep saying we're getting close, but-"

"We're here!" Toby quickly moved into a clearing and you followed quickly after.

"Toby! Wait on me!" You jumped over the log just as he did and instinctively looked up. "Are we really," You paused once you saw the large mansion, completely awestruck. "Here..."

"Home sweet h-home!" He smiled as you walked up beside him. You were completely in awe, you couldn't help but hold your mouth agape. It was beautiful.

The mansion looked victiorian. It had at least four levels and the trees around seemed to stretch up to unbelievable heights. Every part of the mansion had some detail covering it. Every inch was purposefully intricate. The garden looked overgrown but taken care of. And to add to the beauty, you could see proof of life. Small toys and items left around, a jacket laying on the railing of the porch, and a equally beautiful dog house to right of the steps.

"You l-like it?" You looked over at Toby and he was beaming. You couldn't help but laugh a little and take one more appreciative gaze.

"This place is beautiful."

"Now, c-come on! Let's go inside!" Toby took your hand in his and you walked into the mansion.

The inside looked much more modern than the outside. It looked cozy, nice... It was also noisy, not to the point of being too loud, but just background noise. There were a few people sitting on the couch and a couple turned their head towards your entrance.

"Toby?" A Burnette sat up with a grin. You slightly jumped from the crudely place clock in her eye. "You haven't been home in forever. You fucker!" She teased and stood up.

"I've been,,, o-occupied." He chuckled as she came closer. You just stood beside Toby, not sure what to say. Once she fully took notice of you, she smiled.

"And who's this little cutie?" You took notice of the term 'little'... You were basically the same height?

"Oh uhm..." Toby looked away with a flustered look. You couldn't help but smile and look back at the girl.

"I'm (y/n), I'm his girlfriend." Her face immediately lit up, I got nervous for a second but her grin changed my mind.

"Oh my god!! Toby, the fuck? Why didn't you tell me about her??" Toby shrugged, clearly not used to the situation. "My name is Natalie, or Clockwork if you prefer. I'm close with Toby." You took her outstretched hand and she shook it wholeheartedly.
