Missing You

***

Jungkook's curiosity got the better of him as he asked Taehyung, "Who's Jimin, though?" He watched Taehyung's incredulous expression with a hint of confusion.

Taehyung couldn't help but stare at Jungkook for a full minute, his disbelief palpable. "You don't know Kang Jiwoo, you don't know Kim Seokjin, and now you're telling me you don't know Park Jimin either?" Taehyung's voice carried a mixture of amusement and shock. "Jimin is Jiwoo's cousin, and he's incredibly famous," Taehyung added, emphasizing the significance of this fact.

With an 'oh' expression, Jungkook finally connected the dots. "I see," he said, feeling a little embarrassed for not knowing these well-known names in the entertainment industry.

Taehyung, still amused, couldn't resist a playful jab. "You really need to take your head out of that camera of yours and explore the world around you more," he chided, before heading towards the washroom. His disbelief lingered as he muttered to himself, "How can he not know so many famous people? I bet he doesn't even know Min Yoongi." His light-hearted teasing was evident, and Jungkook glared playfully at Taehyung's retreating.

Jungkook was simply too immersed in his career to care about other things, he loved what he did and it showed in his work. As Jungkook lay on the bed, he pondered his feelings for Jiwoo. He wasn't sure if she reciprocated those feelings, but he was certain of one thing: he liked her.

"Minnie, I miss him so much. I just want to see him again," Jiwoo sighed, her voice tinged with longing. She had been feeling this way for the past two days, and it was starting to wear her down. Jimin, however, seemed completely absorbed in his own world as he plugged in his AirPods and buried himself in his phone, effectively ignoring Jiwoo's heartfelt rant.

Jimin finally broke his silence with a hint of exasperation. "Ji, come on, you know he probably has a girlfriend or something," he remarked casually, not even bothering to look up from his screen. Jiwoo's heart sank as she replayed the vision of him in her mind, and she slumped down on the couch, feeling dejected. "But I can't help it, Jimin. I really like him, and I can't stop thinking about him," she admitted, more to herself than to Jimin, believing he wasn't paying much attention to her.

However, Jimin did hear her words, and after a deep sigh, he decided to intervene. Removing his AirPods and turning to face Jiwoo, he took her shoulders in his hands and gave her a gentle shake. Jiwoo blinked in surprise, momentarily disoriented. "Whoa, you might have scrambled my brain cells there," she quipped, kicking Jimin playfully in the butt. The tension between them momentarily lifted as they burst into a playful pillow fight, a temporary escape from Jiwoo's romantic woes.

"I just want you to confront him and stop acting like a sulky child," Jimin said, landing a playful blow with a pillow and flashing a mischievous smirk afterward.

Jiwoo retaliated, determined to make her point. "But I don't even have his phone number," she confessed, attempting to strike Jimin, who effortlessly dodged her pillow swings. "If I ever see him again, though, I swear I'll do it," Jiwoo added, finally managing to land a final blow squarely on Jimin's face, causing him to fall backward onto the couch.

"Ouch! You hit too hard. My beautiful face hurts," Jimin playfully complained, rubbing his face with exaggerated pain. Jiwoo couldn't help but roll her eyes, but a small smile tugged at her lips. "You deserved it," she retorted before sticking her tongue out at Jimin and walking away to gather her thoughts.

"You'd better start getting ready for Namjoon's party, or I swear I'll leave you behind," Jimin called out with a playful warning in his tone. He leaned against the doorframe, arms crossed, and a bemused smile on his face. "And seriously, stop camping out at my place; go back to your own."

Jiwoo turned to face him, sticking her tongue out once more as she retorted, "Goodbye, sucker. I was already planning to head home anyway, and my clothes are there." Her sassy demeanor was met with a theatrical sigh of relief from Jimin.

"Thank goodness the trash is finally going out," he quipped, unable to resist a teasing jab. Jiwoo, not one to back down, gasped dramatically, immediately turning on her heel and flinging her flip-flop at Jimin with impressive accuracy. He bent down just in time to avoid a potential headshot, the flip-flop whizzing past him by a mere inch.

Jimin burst into laughter but quickly silenced himself when he noticed Jiwoo picking up her other flip-flop, her eyes narrowing in playful menace. She held it like a weapon, clearly threatening to give him a swift kick in the rear if he didn't behave. The tension between them dissolved into laughter once more, a fitting end to their playful banter as Jiwoo readied herself to leave for the party.

Jiwoo stood before her closet, her eyes scanning the array of clothing options that lay before her like a vast sea of possibilities. She rummaged through her skirts and tops, a hint of frustration touching her features as she failed to find anything suitable for the occasion.

Namjoon's impending announcement about her and Jin being nothing more than friends was meant to quell the persistent rumors. He had to make another important announcement too. While many supported the idea of her and Jin, Jiwoo's heart still held a different name close.

Turning her attention to her collection of dresses, Jiwoo's eyes settled on a piece that resonated with her desire for confidence and allure. It was daring, the kind that would make a statement, and that's exactly what Jiwoo needed. She slipped into the dress, and as expected, it hugged her curves in all the right ways. Jiwoo had an impeccable knack for selecting attire that truly suited her.

With the dress on, she turned her attention to her hair. She carefully curled it from the bottom, leaving it flowing freely down her back. A few well-chosen accessories added a touch of elegance to her look. Jiwoo's favorite high-heeled boots, reserved for special occasions like this, completed the ensemble. She had a deep affection for those boots, even though her modeling career required her to wear a variety of footwear.

Jiwoo picked out a matching purse, but just as she was about to leave, her phone rang. It was Jimin, of course, calling repeatedly and inundating her with missed calls. Jiwoo couldn't help but feel a surge of irritation as she checked her appearance one final time.

With a sense of urgency, she made her way to the elevator that would transport her downstairs to Jimin's impatient presence. Upon entering the car, she couldn't resist scolding her cousin. "Jimin, seriously? Eight calls in three minutes? You're going to drive me insane."

Jimin flashed a mischievous smile as he glanced at Jiwoo. "Oh my god, you look... hideous," he remarked sarcastically, trying to hold back his grin.

Jiwoo chuckled, not missing a beat. "Aww, how sweet of you, Jimin. You look positively dreadful too," she replied with an equally sweet smile, both of them sharing a sarcastic moment before heading off to the event.
