Chapter 39

I laid on my bed, I blinked my eyes several times. I don't want to do this. This expedition will be my first one. Wait, no, it's my second one.

2 days later....

The past 2 days, I've been training myself. I feel like I've become a lot stronger. It's lunch time again. Maybe today Levi will teach me how to cook.

I stopped by his office, I knocked on the door.

"Name and bussiness."

"Um, (full name) and...can I come in?"

"Okay."

I stepped in the room, his desk is piled with paperwork as always. He looked at me, his eyes were piercing into mine.

"Captain, are you busy? Uh..sorry, I'll come back later." I started to leave.

"Wait," he said.

I turned around.

"Sit down."

I sat down.

"What are you here for?" He asked.

"...um, can you teach me to cook!?" I asked excitly.

Levi thought about it,"I'm busy right now."

"Oh.."

"But I can teach you at dinner time."

"Okay," I said, displaying a smile and left. I closed the door gently behind me.

I walked down the hallway to the cafeteria. I took my food outside to eat. It was a bread and milk. I met Eren outside. Its been a couple days already, I should give him a answer.

I sat beside Eren.

"Eren...uh, I want to tell you something."

"About the other day?"

"Yeah, the one in my room. So..." I couldn't bring myself to say it.

After a long pause, Eren looked up at me.

"Say it, (y/n). The last few days, I just couldn't get it off my mind. So say it so I could get all this over with."

My mouth was open, but it went dry. I felt bad for the trouble I had caused for him. What I felt is mainly shyness. Well, I've never had a guy tell me they like me.

I gathered my strength and said it.

"Eren, I'm very sorry. I like someone else so...so I'm chasing after someone else already. But you're a great guy, there's going to be lots of girls who will like you. Well I already know someone who does. Plus girls like guys who are passionate and hard working!"

"Then why don't you like me!!!" Eren shouted.

I jumped. Eren has never shouted like that to me, or towards anyone.

"Eren...calm down."

"I....I can't!"

Tears began to stream down Eren's face. He turned away from me, and wiped away his broken hearted tears. I believe he knew what was coming for him. But facing the truth in front of you is still harder.

Eren is one of my best and important friends. So seeing him hurt, hurts me, too. But I want my own happiness.

We just sat there the whole lunch period and ate our food in silence.

I wanted to tell Eren that we can still be friends, but I decided to leave him alone. Gosh, I hate all this drama going around us.

That afternoon, I trained extra hard. I wanted to forget about all this. Forget about the confession, those triangle things called love triangles. And about the hurt I caused towards my friends.
