Sin Forgiven

I got too proud. Content in my own actions. I was hypothetical, thinking I would act righteously. But the time came, and I lied.

It doesn't matter what I lied about, it's the fact I did. I sinned against You. I am beyond sorry. I feel guilty, sorrowful and regretful.

I felt dirty, so I took a shower. I had already asked for forgiveness and stated I never wanted to lie again. That I needed to fear You more than people. But, I changed my clothes that were corrupted with the stench of lies.

I sang songs to You in the shower. I went in feeling dirty and came out feeling renewed. Your forgiveness never fails, Lord. It rebuilds my strength, joy and hope.

I thank You for Your mercy.

I thank You for Your goodness.

I thank You for Your faithfulness.

I thank You for Your love.

I thank You for Your forgiveness.
