Patrol cars and EMTs arrived at Mama Pinas house where each and every one of them were carefully looked over. Marcos stood beside Amila who stood up once she was cleared and was grateful that she wasn't seriously injured.
His eyes catch one of the girls sneaking out the back holding onto a backpack, with a scared expression upon her face. He ushered Amila with him who was slightly confused by his sudden actions to leave.

"Marcos, what?", she was cut off by Luca who rushed out, "Hey!", he approached them,
"Look, I can't shake the feeling that there's something you're still not telling me, okay? Rebeldes Centrales trying to stake a claim in the LA street game means competition for your crew", he accused which Marcos looked at him with disbelief.

"What? Are you for real right now? You really think I had something to do with these fools rolling up here? You think I'd be that stupid to put Amila or my family in danger?", he snapped at Luca.
"No, you know why? I don't think you'd be that stupid. But right now the optics also don't look good", Luca retorted.
"Optics!", Amila and Marcos chorused, "Luca you're not serious", she glared at him.
Marcos shook his head,
"Nah, you know what, you're right. Me and you working together ain't no good look...never will be", he scoffed walking to his car. He looked back, waiting for Amila who stared at Luca,
"Why do you always assume the worst?", she shook her head walking over to Marcos,
"I got to head back to HQ", she sighed touching his chest,
"Don't do anything stupid. If something goes wrong you call me", she leaned up kissing him. He nods into the kiss, squeezing her waist, she pulled back as he exhaled,
"Be careful, Hermosa. I'll call you", he promised before getting in his car and driving off.

Vera anxiously watched her back as she walked fast with the backpack on her shoulder. She breathed heavily, heart pounding against the skin of her chest, she eyed her surroundings in fear till she let out a gasp seeing Marcos pull up beside her in his car,

"Don't even think about running. Give me the backpack", he hurriedly tells Vera in Spanish.

"Jenni didn't know what to do with this when she escaped. It's not her fault", Vera responded shakily.

Marcos looked around,
"Hand over the bag, I'll take care of it, I promise", he said as Vera took a step back,
"Does Amila know about this?", she quietly asked.
Marcos frowned,
"No! But I promise..I'll tell her", he says as she quickly handed the backpack over to him. He grabbed it, tossing it in the passenger seat and drove off, tires screeching in the distance.
He pulled out his phone dialing Amila....straight to voicemail,
"Amila...I need you to trust me okay. Whatever happens just know, I love you and I'm doing this to bring Jenni back. Forgive me!", he softly said before hanging up. He knew she would probably never forgive him for what he was about to do. He could only hope.

Marcos quickly left the house, walking towards his car with a duffel bag, opening his trunk, he tossed the bags inside. He opened it but stopped as soon as he heard sirens. He turned to see Luca step out,
"Where you headed, Marcos?"

"Out", he replied.

Luca motioned to the stuff in the trunk,
"What's in the duffel and the backpack?", he questioned looking at Marcos.
Marcos scoffed,
"You don't got a warrant. I don't got time for playing. So get out of my face and move the damn cruiser", he snapped impatiently.
