In Kanchipuram, Abi, Viji and Sudar go to the house that has been arranged for her. The two adults are putting away the things with the household helpers. Sudar is doing some drawing while chattering the heads of Abi and Viji.

S: Abi! Intha ooru puthusa pazhasa?

A: Intha ooru romba pazhaiya ooru! Eppavo kattina kovil ellam inga innum irukku! Naan unnai ella edathukkum koottitu poren.

S: Illai Abi! Ithu namakku puthusa pazhasannu ketten!

S: Appo ungamma appa ellam inga than irukkangala?

S: Engappa? Avarum intha oora Abi?

While Sudar is asking this question, Abi is sorting out the things she needs to keep in her office. The moment Sudar asks the question, Abi finds the envelope given by Vetri in the box and she pauses her work and stares at it. From the day Vetri had given it to her, she had opened that draw at least once every day and looked at the envelope. She has not opened it yet and she has always postponed thinking about the envelope. While packing her office things, her earlier Davali had also packed this in the box. While she is staring at the envelope contemplating opening it, she misses Sudar's question. Viji too looks up from her work to know Abi's answer and seeing Abi's distraction, she tries to answer Sudar.

Vi: Pappa! Ennada ithu? Abi than sollirukka illai! Unakku solla vendiya nerathula ungappa pathi solluvannu? Ippadi enda avalai kelvi kettute irukka?

S: Illai Vijimma! Naan engappa yaarunnu kekkaliye? Abi avarai inga than paathalannu ketten! Avlo than. Abi! nee sollu Abi!

A: Haan! Enna kette?

S: Engappavum intha ooru thana?

A: (absently) Ithai paathaathan theriyum.

S: Ethai paathaa Abi? Antha boxaya?

Vi: Abi! Ava enna solra? Nee enna solra? Ava avungappa intha ooruthannu kekkara?

A: Oh! Sorry Sudar! Ithu oru mukkiyamana envelope! Ithai pathi yosikkama vittuten! Antha nyabagathula gavanikkalai! Naan munnadi sonnathu than! Ungappava pathi naan time varache solluven. Athuvaraikkum nee enna kettalum solla maatten.

S: En Abi? En friends ellarukkum Appa irukkanga! Avunga ellarayum avunga Appavoda pakkarache enakku kashtama irukku Abi! Naan mattum en enga Appa illama irukken? Nee en engappa yaarunnu solla mattengara?
