Han Sooyoung's feet hesitated as we stepped closer to his gate.
"Can't you do it?" she whined.

This girl. Whatever, I rang the doorbell instead and took a short step back.
...
As expected, no response.
"Ring it again." Sooyoung suggested from behind me.
...
Again, no response. Until, I heard a short creak and I shifted my gaze upwards.

At the opened door was Junghyeok. He stood in a certain posture which made me doubt his current health.

His tired eyes looked at us from behind the gates.
"Junghyeok," I called.

He watched me with a darkened complexion.
"I've missed you."

Kim Dokja and Han Sooyoung walked inside as their eyes shifted to each wall.

"Boo, I hate rich people." Sooyoung fussed.

At first, I didn't want to let them in. But I realised that would stir things further.

"The house is great." Dokja commented, with a weak smile.

Fortunately, I tidied the mess in advance. This place looked like a dump just a few hours ago.

Oh, Kim Dokja. If only you thought of me just as I thought of you.

Han Sooyoung collapsed on my couch and watched me from a distance.

But then Dokja began to approach me. His eyes were welcoming and his gaze stung my chest like an arrow. I struggled to keep up with my thoughts as he grew closer.

"You look tired. Sit down," he insisted.
I took a seat across him at the dining table.

That's when I recalled last night's situation. The broken plates and messed up hall. The wine bottles I chugged down my throat. Waking up in a terrible state the next morning. Shit, all this bullshit messed with my head. But I couldn't tell him this.

"Why did you two come here?" I finally asked.
Kim Dokja took a while to answer.

"Actually, Sooyoung just tagged along. But we were both concerned about you,"

Concerned? I wondered.

"Something's off, Junghyeok. We're worried."
