As a little girl, I didn't believe in fairy tales. I'm not sure if that made me smart or stubborn, but it sure as hell made me the misfit. My mom claimed my lack of imagination was due to maturity. She said the others kids just weren't up to my standards, yet. I not real sure what the hell that meant, but I assume she was right. I grew up on stories of Batman and the Joker and I often cried because I understood the Joker more than anything else in the world and I cried because the Joker was a bad guy and I wasn't suppose to be cheering him on. I was supposed to be front row to his fight, but I was. I guess, there's a universal insane for people like me.
