saturday night, coming home from work liberty quickly ate and showered, then sat down in front of her vanity to get ready for the party she agreed to attend with charley and a couple of her friends the younger was yet to meet.

the two had spent most nights during the last week either talking on the phone till late at night or hanging out together, and going on another small simple date mid week. just getting closer and closer with each other.

once ready, she said goodbye to samantha and mateo since they were the only ones still home, then catching an uber across the city to the party. meeting up with charley who met her at the front door, exchanging a few kisses as they greeted one another.

"how was work?" she asked, intertwining her fingers with the girl's as they entered into the house.

"it was good," liberty smiled. "it was nice catching up with clients i haven't seen in a while."

"and are you drinking today?"

"mhm, i will have a few," she nodded, following the others actions and grabbing a clean red cup off the stack and then filling with their drink of choice.

"now to my friends," charley grabbed the girl's hand again and wandering back out to the balcony which over looked the city, where she had left her friends. "she's here!" she grinned. "lili.. this is rosa, jj, and jaz."

"it's nice to meet you all," liberty returned a smile with her greeting.

"you know what.." jacinta perked up slightly as she stopped leaning against the rail. "i think we matched on bumble a few months ago.. and you never replied," she chuckled.

"jj!" charley shook her head.

"my bad.." liberty awkwardly replied to the other's comment. "i'm not the best at messaging at times.."

"how many apps are you on?" charley chuckled.

"um a few.." she confessed, bringing her attention to her. "i don't have the best luck with relationships.. so since i was single then, i gave myself every chance to find the one."

"fair.."

"so tinder came out the winner huh?" rosa softly laughed. "maybe you need to get on there, jj."

"mh"

"enough about dating apps," jasmin subtly shook her head. "let us get to know you, lili!"

it was now a few hours later and they were all still at the party, now moved to the living room and we're dancing to the music and enjoying the night out. and after having a few drinks like she said she would mixed with the little food she had to eat all day, liberty was starting to feel a little unwell.
