I was nothing but an excuse, a way for all of them to be left alone. Soap, Gaz, and Roach stuck to Charlie, throwing out my name as if I were Mother Mary. Price's Peepaw energy kept him safe. Ghost and König....

Why are they behind me again?

They had been sticking to me like a fly to flypaper. I could tell from their very core they were traumatized. They were rigid, stiff, and alert. They stuck close to me, like scared children.

"What is wrong with your generation?" König asks me, after seeing the flock of girls giggling at them.

"Horny, delusional, no sense of self-preservation, high sense of guilt and empathy, stupid, it's not like we know how to interact with each other." I shrug and continue to walk along.

"You all need to be in a mental institution."

"Or jail."

"We would like that," I look back, "We are all suicidal to some extent."

"Why?"

"Look at the world around us, the world is falling apart." I look back at the two, "Not to be rude, but it's past your time, but men and women your age refuse to let go of power. My generation was told to fix everything, we try but the old people fight back. We see how the world is burning and know we truly can't save this world. It's depressing. We have no future, no will, no real leverage. Everything is expensive, the cost of living is far too high now. Honestly I rather be dead."

"Your depressing—"

"No shit." I interrupt König and walk off, "Why are you following me?" The two grew quiet.

"There are three different groups of women ready to pounce on us—"

"And I'm going to bed—"

"It's 10 am."

"So?" König glanced at Ghost before sighing and approaching me. He threw me over his shoulder and the two continued to walk off.

"HELP I'M BEING KIDNAPPED!" I screamed all the girls just stood there not moving.

"Living the dream—" I recognized the voice of another corporal. I flipped her off and continued to struggle.

"Will you stop that?" König growls trying to hold me still.

"I'm going to strangle you!"

"What— Why—"

"What is going on?"

"Charlie! I'm being kidnapped save me!" I struggle to look up at Charlie. The others were with him.

"Sergeant, I'll give you $20 to walk away," König said pulling out 20 freedom dollars out of his pocket. I looked at Charlie who looked down at me.

He wouldn't...

He took it, "I saw nothing."

"CHARLIE!"

"20 dollars is 20 dollars," He walks away.

"Where are we going?" I ask after a few moments of pure stunned silence.

"To the office, we have paperwork to do," Ghost spoke up.

"Ok but why me? Doesn't peepaw scare them off?" I ask pushing myself up and sitting on König's shoulder, dangling there wasn't comfortable.

"Peepaw?" The voice asks.

"Price."

"What does Peepaw mean?"

"Grandpa."

"Price is like 37," Ghost spoke up, eyes darting to me.

"37?" I shouted, "I thought he was an old man! like 45!" Both men stop and look up at me.

"I'm 35," Ghost stated coolly.

"40—"

"Holy shit you two are old—AH!" König dropped his arms, and I tumbled out of his grip. Before I hit the ground, he caught me.

"Be careful corporal—"

"Drop my ass and I will make you regret taking this deal AND coming to America!" I threaten gripping his arm tightly, like a scare kitten.

"Be respectful—"

"Respect my ass! Look here Сволочь—OOF!" He dropped me and I landed hard on my back. "...That hurt," I state calmly.

"I'm not going to take your disrespect." I stayed quiet and still lay there.

"God give me the strength not to fuck over this white boy!" I grumble before standing up.

"Where do you get the audacity that you can be rude to us?" Ghost asks folding his arm.

Memories flash across my mind, blood, sweat, and the sounds of a grown man screaming ring loudly in my ears. The smell of rain and decomposing leaves, the smell of wet dogs, and body odor hit me strongly. It's dark the sounds of crickets and life screams hauntingly in my mind.

My muscles screamed for a moment to rest, my lungs fought violently against the dry cool air of the forest, and the cold burned into my lungs. My legs the only part of my sturdy slowly became like jelly.

Was this war?

"Kill her!"

"She's truly an animal! Kill her!"

"Shoot her in the head!"

"Killing one pathetic child shouldn't be so hard!"

"Corporal?" I blink and let out a low hum.

"What?" I ask then.

"You, ok?"

"Yeah of course..."

"You looked like you were..."

"Nah man," I stand up dusting myself off, "Just a flashback, nothing more." They both turn to each other a silent question shared between them.

"For your concern, I got this audacity from grown men trying to hurt me. I won't lie I don't respect men in the military, especially those in the special forces team." I grumble looking at them. "I do know I'm rude, but don't act like you two are pure saints."

"What happened, Corporal—"

"I have a name use it."

"What happened Y/N?" I look over to see Ghost looking down at me.

"Back at that wilderness camp, they used former military men to discipline us." I begin slowly, I turn away from them, "Let's just say their tactics... was borderline surreal."

"What happened?" König asks, I look back at them.

"Anything and everything. Let's just say you two kinda remind me of those men." I scratch my head, "I know it's cruel to say that, but you remind me of those men."

"How so?"

"Tall, commanding, judgmental, threatening... judging my autism... um, yeah," I state slowly.

"You use your autism too much—"

"German boy, Colonel, König, Autism is a disability, I am disabled." I begin slowly for him to understand. "I have a service dog. I am very much disabled."

"You look fine to me—"

"That's why it's considered an invisible disability! What if I was paralyzed from the waist down, are you going to tell me to walk it off because I'm not paralyzed from the neck down? Are you going to tell someone paralyzed from the waist down they need to stop bitching because they are not paralyzed from the neck down? Look my autism might not cripple me to the point I need help every single day for everything, but it does cripple me." I state concisely. "My autism fucks me over every step I take, you might not see it but it's there."
