That's a big problem

*This is in the dark world. It's the day after Kris taught Berdly how to act and spare. The six light nerds are just walking. Suddenly, a weird looking guy jumped out at them.

"Hello, six young travelers! I'm here to send you on a quest!" The weirdly dressed man said to the light nerds.

"A quest? The fuck?" Susie said.

Kris noticed that something was off. This guy seems really...puppet-like. Didn't really look to be some rando who is high on some kind of substance, or like some guy who offers a quest. More of a puppet. Being manipulated by something else. This guy seemed like he wasn't even a darkner at all. Just some puppet. Kris saw something was controlling it. Then their view was obstructed by the puppet looking thing getting all up in their face.

"Whatcha lookin at, swordsman?" The puppet guy asked.

Kris responded by stabbing the puppet. It fell to the ground, revealing a tentacle.

"What...the fuck?!" Kris almost shouted as they stepped back.

The tentacle grabbed their ankle. Kris sliced it with their sword. A weird liquid sprayed onto their armor,  and onto their face. They wiped the weird liquid off, and decided to collect it in a small vial for further studying.

"Okay, okay, this is going to get messy and I know it!" Kris said as they stepped back from the tentacle.

Everyone pulled out their weapons, prepared for battle.

Some trees began to fall as the tentacles started whipping around. The weird creature revealed its ugly face.

Susie just started slicing up the tentacles with her ax.

Noelle started freezing the tentacles as well.

Berdly began screaming incoherently while swinging his halberd around.

Ralsei decided on doing a mix of throwing fireballs and using plants with thorns for a good bleed.

Crystal also started tearing the weird creature up. It seemed like a beast that was trying to become an overlord.

A lot of fighting went on. A lot.

The tentacles reattached themselves.

"WAIT!! WE SHOULD PROBABLY TRY TO FIND ANYTHING THAT WE COULD DESTROY TO KILL IT!" Kris shouted as they jumped at the thing, stabbing it.

The weird almost octopus looking beast screeched in pain. It smacked Kris into a tree, and they shouted in pain.

Kris got a good grip onto the tree, as they were going to use it to their advantage. Ralsei saw that a tentacle had changed into an almost needle looking thing, and it was about to go and stab Kris. He didn't want Kris to get hurt, so he jumped in at a good time and the needle like thing pierced into his right leg. Ralsei cried out in pain, and Kris caught him, and jumped down. Kris jumped and stabbed the beast's face, piercing into its brain, and Susie destroyed it the rest of the way.

Kris got their sword, and launched themself off of the beast, and went way further than they thought they did.

Ralsei seemed a lot more weak than he normally did after an intense battle. He was breathing different too. A terrified look filled his eyes as he started coughing up some blood. Kris immediately realized that there was poison injected into Ralsei. Kris put together an antidote as fast as they could. There was blood dripping from Ralsei's mouth to his scarf, staining it. Kris injected the antidote as beats as they could. Ralsei still passed out, but the antidote did fully circulate, preventing him from dying. Blood was still dripping from Ralsei's mouth. Kris did remember they had their dnd dice, so they rolled their d20 for a healing spell. Tears started to run down Kris's cheeks. Some falling onto Ralsei's face.

What happened next is something nobody thought could have happened.

The palm of a warm fluffy hand gently laid itself onto Kris's cheek, the soft fingers lying down one by one.

"R-Ralsei?" Kris said with hope and worry.

"I think you just used a healing spell..." Ralsei said with a smile on his face.

Kris looked over at their d20. They rolled a 20.

"I rolled a nat 20 with my dnd dice...I rolled for a healing spell..." Kris said, relief filling their eyes and voice. "I can't believe it worked."

Ralsei got onto his knees.

Kris went in and kissed him despite the blood on his face.

"Kris...there's still blood on my face..." Ralsei said.

"I know. Let me clean that up for ya." Kris replied. They scrubbed the bloodstains off of Ralsei's face.

"Where is everyone?" Ralsei asked, looking around.

"I don't know." Kris replied. "I mean...I did launch myself off of the beast thing, and I think we went way further than I thought we would. But don't worry. I know just how to let the others know where we are."

Kris climbed up a tree, and inhaled deeply.

"FUCK!!" Kris shouted as loud as they possibly could, hoping that Susie would hear and find them.

They got back down.

"Susie has good hearing. She'll know." Kris said. "They're likely on their way right now.

Five minutes go by.

"THERE YOU TWO ARE!! HOLY FUCK!! DONT SCARE US LIKE THAT AGAIN!!" Susie shouted when she got to Kris and Ralsei.

"I thought I was going to pass out holy shit..." Noelle said, out of breath.

"Why did you...how did you..." Berdly tried to say.

"Damn. No blood. I could've sworn I smelled blood." Crystal stated.

"Ah. Okay." Kris said. "Anyone else wanna head back? I've had enough."

"Yes." The other five light nerds said in perfect unison.

The six headed back to Ralsei's.
