The Great Sage

*This is in the dark world. Kris, Susie, Ralsei, and Crystal were just walking in some plains when out of nowhere, some weird beast jumped out at them. At a loss for what to do because of the shock of that sudden jumpscare, Kris just froze up. As did the others, because Kris usually knows what to do somehow. Someone jumped right in front of them. This person was holding a staff, and they were wearing a blue cloak. They held the staff up to the beast.

"They aren't here for your babies. They are just travelers. The travelers just want to go along. They don't want to hurt your babies." The person said, waving the staff a little bit.

The beast backed up.

"I can take care of you and your babies. Are you ill?" The person asked, lowering their staff, and approaching the beast.

The beast looked sad.

"You will be okay." The person said. They whistled, and a couple of people came and picked up the beast and the babies.

The person turned around, and noticed that Kris is just on the ground.

"Are you alright?" The person asked, as they knelt down to Kris. "You feeling alright? Cold? Hot? Any discomfort?"

Kris was about to just cry.

"Are you alright?" The person asked again.

Ralsei knelt down right next to Kris.

"Kris? Are you okay?" Ralsei asked. Kris immediately hugged him and cried because they felt bad for what they had done.

"Oh. I deeply apologize if I scared them." The person said.

Kris wiped away their tears.

"It's not your fault. It's mine. I just froze up because it jumped out so suddenly." Kris said. "I'm sorry if I had inconvenienced you in any way."

"No, no no. I should introduce myself. I am Abigail. Some call me the Great Sage. Others call me Great Sage Abigail. Only my close friends are allowed to call me Abbie." Great Sage Abigail said. "I love helping people."

"Ralsei Rune." Ralsei said.

"Crystal Dreemurr." Crystal said.

"Kris Dreemurr." Kris stated.

"Susie Amherst." Susie said.

The Dreemurrs and Rune were surprised to hear Susie reveal her last name.

"I see. A couple swordsmen, a Prince, and someone with a dragon connection." Great Sage Abigail said. "Well...a lot less of a connection. More of an actual dragon. But that's mostly blood. The swordsmen I can tell because of the sheathes."

Susie tried to put her hand on her hip, but her prosthetic fell off. She quickly caught it, and tried to put it back on.

"Ah. It appears your blood may have not been the blood of a dragon before. It is now, your prosthetic might not be able to process it at the moment. You should probably go see the person who made it." Great Sage Abigail advised.

"Thanks. I should." Susie muttered.

"I've been looking for a place to settle down and have my stuff. Outside of the town where I've lived for most of my life. I don't want to be around my parents." Great Sage Abigail said.

"You could live in our castle town. Here are directions to there." Kris said, handing over something that can show where it is.

"Thanks. I'll consider it. Now, stay safe. You all have something of value within you. I will seriously consider going to your castle town." Great Sage Abigail said.

Great Sage Abigail and the four went their separate ways.

After Kris, Ralsei, Crystal, and Susie walked away...

"I like her a lot." Kris said.

"I do too." Ralsei said.
