One Hell Of A Battle

*This is in the dark world. Kris made a plan for the royal guard they had created, and they went to check with each guard at each gate. If someone's coming in right here, read the other chapters to fully know what's going on here. Anyway...

"Hey! Idiot! The captain is coming!!" One of the guards at the east gate said, smacking the other guard.

The other guard smacked the first one right back. They almost got into a fistfight.

Kris approached from behind.

"I couldn't sneak up on you with the annoyingly loud clanking of these boots." Kris muttered.

"They're here!! You ass!!" The first guard said angrily.

Kris then started laughing.

"You know I can hear you! Now, Prince Ralsei would much prefer that you don't curse at each other and or insult each other, not that he's here right now, he's learning new spells with his grimoire." Kris said. "Me personally? I find this quite entertaining. However, I only intended to come here to check in."

"Y-yes...uh...captain." The first guard said, standing up straight.

"Help the other up, now. Consider potentially repairing your relationship." Kris commanded.

"S-sorry." He muttered.

"Everything's alright. Now, have you seen anything unusual? Abnormal?" Kris said.

"I mean...I did see someone." The second guard said. "Dressed weird. Seemed to be looking here suspiciously."

"Okay. Keep watch. Make some kind of signal if the person comes out." Kris said. They went back to the castle and went out to the garden. They removed their annoyingly loud boots, and then removed their socks. They removed most of their armor, and put on headphones. They went and watered some flowers, and then traced their sigil with their index finger, then tapped the palm. Multiple little balls of light floated up, and exploded into more balls of light and they got smaller and smaller, then they fell onto the plants.

Kris then went back inside and slipped their armor back on, and went back to the east gate for updates, only to find the guards bleeding out, and having been mutilated. They immediately called Queen to grab the mutilated guards to set them down in the basement, after stopping the bleeding, disinfecting, and bandaging the wounds.

Queen got there quickly, and Kris got to the fight.

"SHOW YOURSELF!!" They shouted, unsheathing their comically large sword.

"There you are...." A voice said.

Kris looked around.

The leader of the team of the enemies of the Rune kingdom.

"Oh. You. Well, as captain of the royal guard of the Rune kingdom, YOU. MUST. GO." Kris said, getting into a fighting position. They almost immediately focused on their breathing.

"You're dying today." The leader of the enemy team said.

"I am not dying today...and I know it." Kris muttered.

"I am Anthrax, leader of the-" Anthrax was interrupted by Kris saying "I know who you are. Don't even."

Anthrax pulled out a machete, and was about to go and mutilate Kris. Kris had other plans. They have amazing reflexes, so they clearly dodged the swing of a machete, in the way people dodge large blades in movies/shows or something. As they slid under the blade, Kris swept Anthrax off his feet, causing him to fall. They got up, and prepared their sword for a swing. Anthrax quickly got up, and whipped out something that could hold him up so he could have high ground.

"Oh, playing dirty? Well, you're in for a hell of a fight!!" Kris said angrily. They tossed their sword in the air, and jumped up, using the wind spell, also rolling their dnd dice for something to jump off of. A small platform appeared, and Kris launched themself off of it, catching their sword handle in their mouth, and their tail and antennae took form. Kris managed to slash through something that Anthrax had pulled out for defense. Kris tuck and rolled as they got close to and then hit the ground.

Anthrax proceeded to jump down from strike Kris. The two fought each other until they got to a cliff by the ocean.

Anthrax got an opportunity for a good strike. He managed to get the machete into Kris's chest under their breastplate.

"Not bad." They muttered. "However, you made a mistake. That being...you got too close.

Kris managed to pierce anthrax's chest, but they severely underestimated him. Anthrax then proceeded to grow in size. He got to roughly the size of king spade. Kris got ready for more of a fight. They dodged a slash attack, and several more, causing more damage to themself, as they still had a machete in their chest. Some wind picked up, and Kris slashed one of the arms of Anthrax, and they continued slashing at the legs. Anthrax kept throwing them around, and threw them into the Pollen Forest, and Kris landed in one of the worst spots possible but they didn't care. They jumped up, but Anthrax got to the pollen forest as well, and then stomped in the middle of it, causing a lot of pollen to go everywhere. Kris tried to hold their breath so they didn't get much pollen into their system due to their allergy. They continued slashing at Anthrax, and eventually sliced him in half. Not like through the torso, no no no, through his entire body. Both sides fell to the ground, getting blood all over Kris. In their hair, on their face, on their armor, even their sword. Kris couldn't hold their breath much longer, so they took a deep breath and inhaled some pollen, and they sneezed, like immediately. They ran back to the castle town, and they nearly tripped. They sneezed a couple more times, and felt mostly fine. Still not great.

"Kris!!" Ralsei said as he ran up to them.

"Ralsei!" Kris said, dropping their sword and reaching out to the Prince.

Ralsei noticed just how much damage was done to Kris's body, so he held them up by their shoulders.

"Okay, I'm bringing you inside, there is pollen everywhere." He said as he picked them up.

Ralsei carried Kris inside, and removed their armor, then he removed the machete. He stopped the bleeding and used a healing spell. He then picked Kris up again and set them down in their bed, and used yet another healing spell, and Ralsei gave them a kiss on the forehead and put them to sleep.
