Chapter 38: Hero, Ezreal Vs. Nilah

Narrator POV

Soraka felt the soothing power of Sona's music healing magic as the soft vibrations of her harpsichord softly soothed away any of the pain Soraka had from the fight. Sona sighed a bit as she simply patted Soraka on the head, being a bit hard as her horn stuck right in the way.

Soraka: Thank you, Sona... I know that fight was hard, and yet I got so hurt.

Sona:...

Chiizu: It's completely fine! All in all, you did your best and sometimes that's all you can ask of someone...

Sona smiled, clearly Chiizu had said exactly what Sona wanted to say. Soraka knew that though Sona was completely mute, it was quite easy to tell what she had to say, though Chiizu was quick to translate for those who haven't been around her long enough.

Soraka: I guess I got carried away...

Sona:...

Chiizu: It's ok that you did your best, but you should look out for yourself sometimes! Who knows what that bonehead Ekko would have done, if your boyfriend didn't show up!

Soraka: Well I.... BOYFRIEND!

Sona tilted her head, it was no mistranslation from Chiizu, that's for sure. Soraka's face turned a bright red as steam came from the top of her head.

Soraka had never really had ever thought of you as her boyfriend, her mind could never think of things like that. She's never truly had a boyfriend, nor did she really believe that it was in the cards for her at all.

Though...Soraka's mind started to wander, thinking of cafe walks and dinner dates... Walks in the park, movie nights together...Together with you.

Soraka: AHHHHHHHHH!

Her sudden scream scared Kaisa's team as well as Kaisa who was busy talking with Ekko about his debacle. Soraka covered her face with her hands as she ran away with a dust trail following behind.

Soraka: Sorry Sona, I have to gooooo!

Chiizu: Was it something I said?

Sona nodded profusely.

Kaisa: I should do something more drastic, yet...

Ekko and Kaisa were a little ways away from the arena, both a few hundred feet away, making sure that nobody could hear them talk about the debacle. Kaisa was already pissed at Ekko, yet this made it not a smidge better.

Ekko: Do whatever the hell you want, it doesn't matter.

Kaisa: Is that what you think?

Ekko: What's wrong with a little competition?

Kaisa: What you call competition, everyone else calls starting stuff.

Ekko: Shit, Kai, starting shit.

Kaisa; I don't care! What you did was out of line, and horrible, you could have hurt Soraka more than our game! You know what it means to be part of this team!

Ekko: I'm sure everybody does!

Kaisa: What is that supposed to mean?!

Ekko:...People died in that last attack, and we are playing games, like nothing happened, like we saved the entire world...

Kaisa: We did what we could Ekko, you act as if we didn't do good things!

Ekko: But it wasn't enough! We did what we could, and yet their support is being beaten by a rookie! As if she hadn't fought creatures before!
