8 : Awkward moments

Meerab dragged Murtasim to one corner angrily as she did not like the fact he was talking with the girl who hated her. Shifa had always issues with Meerab because she was better than Shifa in her studies and that always triggered Shifa's ego. Shifa always hated Meerab and tried to push Meerab down which always irritated Meerab as she never tried to do anything such. She hated the fact that Murtasim was smiling in front of Shifa which burnt her heart

"Why were you talking to her?", Meerab asked angrily

"It's normal Meerab. I have nothing to do with her. I was just greeting her not proposing.", Murtasim said and giggled seeing his wife getting jealous but soon his laughter died when Meerab moved forward and held his collars in anger

"Sochna bhi mat. Murtasim she hates me and pushes me down. She always insults me. She is a home breaker. You can talk with Saba, I will never mind", Meerab said angrily looking into his eyes. Murtasim looked down and looked here and there to see if someone was watching them or not. He doesn't mind her doing this but right now they are jb the crowd and he is very concerned about his self-respect

"Meerab, what if someone saw us? What if someone knew me? ", Murtasim said and placed his hands on hers to remove it but when his hands touched her's, his eyes got lost in her beauty. No doubt she is more beautiful than any girl he saw today. She looked very beautiful in a saree and the fact she wore it for the first time too for him made his heart flutter with joy.

Meerab giggled hearing his words and looked at his hands which were on her's. She felt an unknown sensation in her body, his touch always felt like pure bliss. She smiled looking at him who put his hand on hers to remove it but didn't jerk them yet. He had the power to do so but he didn't which made her smile. Day by day she is discovering new Murtasim and now she feels like she is seeing another version of Murtasim.

"Nobody knows you Murtasim", Meerab said and removed her hand from his collar

"Ohh now I get it. You are in love with me that's why finding reasons to come close and you were jealous too ", Murtasim said stepping close near her ear. Meerab pushed him hard and blinked her thrice to recall what he said. She and love are in the same line, is he crazy? How can he say this line when he knows she can never fall in love?

"Are you in your senses Murtasim? I don't love you", Meerab said looking at him angrily. She knows she can never fall in love, especially with him who is the reason for everything happening in her life. She is living with him just because of the family otherwise she would have divorced him. She took him here because she wanted to show Rohail that she is married, otherwise, she and Murtasim know the depth of their relationship. From when did love even start between them? They are yet to accept eachother

"So you hate me? Nafrat karti ho? Don't you respect me? Are you still the same who used to say I would disrespect you only when I respect you", Murtasim asked. Meerab kept looking at him as if this was not what she meant. After marriage, she started to respect Murtasim, and she discovered that he was way too better than well-educated guys. But she couldn't get the courage to accept it in front of him. How could she? She still doesn't trust him enough to let him know she respects him. What if he took her yes in another way and ended up breaching the contract?

Murtasim kept looking at her waiting for an answer. He felt a pang inside his heart for her silence. Aren't you expecting everything so fast Murtasim? He thought and looked down feeling embarrassed as he thought she would at least let him know she respected him but her silence broke his heart. That video of her with Rohail came into his mind and he stepped back. He reminded himself "She hates you and she wants divorce from you. Don't feel bad because she is not worth your attention",

Soon a girl came towards them and asked Meerab to come for a dance. Meerab asked that girl to go and looked towards Murtasim. Even though she feels it ridiculous to get permission from him the truth is she needs to take his permission.
