3. Oscar's jacket- UK

It was nice to be home. In the Uk. To have a British crowd cheering him on was quite nice. Especially as they were also cheering Oscar on as well. Despite him being Australian when it was the middle of the Ashes as well.

In the end Lando felt disappointed. Not because he'd finished p2. No. But because Oscar hadn't finished p3. And Lando made sure that everyone knew hiw much he wanted his teammate to be up on the podium with him. Oscar deserved it. Very much so.

So, in an attempt to make Oscar feel better about missing out on a podium, Lando invited him out to a club. But it wasn't even like Oscar had expressed disappointment about what had happened. Well he had. Once. Just not as much as Lando had.

“Oscuhhhh, you need to come out with us to a club.”

Oh, had he mentioned that some of the other drivers were also going as well. Well they were. The list compiled of Max, George, Alex, Charles, Logan and then Lando and Oscar if Oscar decided that he wanted to go. If he didn't, then Lando would impose himself in Oscar's room.

“Fine,” Oscar agreed. “What time are we looking at?”

“Seven I think and I'll come and pick you up.”

“Okay.”

Well, that was easier than Lando expected. He thought that he'd have to at least get down on his knees and beg for Oscar…….wait WHAT! Lando didn't know where that thought was coming from. Why was he wanting to get down on his knees for Oscar? And WHY was he disappointed when it didn't come to that?

“You good mate?” Oscar asked, bringing Lando very abruptly out of his thoughts. “You nearly walked into that post.”

“Yeah I'm good. Was just- erm- thinking about what to wear tonight,” Lando replied, lying through his back teeth.

“Oh, is there a dress code?”

“Nah, just- erm- seeing if I can pick up any girls.” Great! Now Lando was lying even to himself. He didn’t want to pick up any girls. For fucks sake, taking home a girl was the last thing in his mind. And now he had to see a fleeting look of sadness flash across Oscar's face.

“Oh, right.” Oscar even sounded disappointed, which was strange.

“On second thoughts, I don't really feel like picking up any girls tonight. Tired. I wouldn't say no to company though.” Lando hurriedly tried to correct what he'd said earlier. He was only human after all and seeing Oscar look even mildly upset tugged on Lando's heartstrings.

He was rewarded by a small smile from Oscar, that made his heart blossom.

They had reached the car park where Jon and Kim were waiting for them by the van that would take them back to the hotel. After greeting their trainers, all four of them hopped into the back of the van, along with the camera man.

Oscar sat next to the window with Lando next to him and Jon next to Lando. Whilst Kim sat facing Jon with the camera man sitting next to him.

They set off with Oscar and Lando looking at tiktoks together on Lando's phone. Normally, Lando didn't like people looking at his phone, especially when he was on tiktok or Instagram because Lando never knew what would pop up on there. However, with Oscar it was different, Lando didn't mind Oscar looking at his phone with him. Possibly because he knew that Oscar wouldn't judge him. They had a similar taste after all, as Lando had found. Or it was because Lando felt comfortable and at ease around Oscar enough that he let Oscar see things that most people wouldn't.

When they got back to the hotel, Lando and Oscar parted ways so that they could get ready to go out. At least Lando was going to do that. He needed to put on his curl cream and everything which took a while. On the other hand, Oscar didn't need to do that so he had a bit more time before he needed to start getting ready.
