Carlos pushed me off track again. I know that you liked him but I think he blames me for what happened. I mean I blame  myself sometimes. I should've realised. I shouldn't have let you go out there

I GOT POLE! You should've been there to see. The crowd went absolutely wild, I could hear them through my helmet. It's something special to get pole in front of your home crowd. I wish you could have experienced that.

I just wanted to say, I love you again. Erm, nothings really happened since I last wrote to you. I got p3 in Australia, my second podium of the season. I know that you would've been proud of me just as I would've been proud of you. And the crowd went mental as you can imagine. At least you got to experience that, a podium at your home race.

I looked back over some old footage today. I say old but it was from last year, so maybe not that old. But what I wanted to say was, we looked so happy there. I like to imagine that in another life we'd continue to stay happy, despite us fighting for the championship (probably wistful thinking). But I'd like to think we'd push through any hardships

I think Mclaren might be in the fight this year. Max dnf’d for the second race in a row so I think red bull might have reliability issues. Somethings going on at Ferrari as well. Arthur, Robert and Ollie are all trying to find an out. And Carlos and Charles appear to be fighting as well. And yes, Mercedes are still shit. So Mclaren could be in the running. Wish you could be here to live this, it's what you deserve

It's still weird seeing Gabriel on the opposite side of the garage. I don't think he knows how to talk to me. Then again, I wouldn't know either. I think he's been avoiding me as well. I wish you were here, you'd know what to do. You always did in those kind of situations

I'm sure you appeared last night. I know it might sound weird but you gave me advice about Gabriel. And it worked! We had a proper sit-down conversation yesterday. And I promised to help him after he admitted he's finding it hard to live up to you. I channelled my inner you and told him that you are different people, so others shouldn't expect the same things from you. He got p4 in qualifying after we had that conversation, so I think it worked. And I could feel how proud you were of me
