a woman met her eyes, and smiled at her.
"can i help you?" cherry questioned, awkwardly.

"do you mind if i sit?" the woman questioned, and sat down anyway.
she took a seat right beside percy, who had to scoot right beside cherry.
there was an animal carry-on bag at the table across from them.
"you poor dears. your parents aren't here, are they? isn't that right, precious? don't children get scared when they're all alone?" the woman said, making a baby voice at whatever animal was in her bag. she turned back to the children. "it's okay. i'm a mom. i know how scared you must be
none of them said anything.
the woman turned to the female officer standing beside their table.
"excuse me. would you mind giving us a little space? i think.. i think you're making them nervous." the strange woman asked.
the officer looked back at the children, and walked to the other side of the twain.
when she was gone, the woman began to speak again.
