I had all their attention on me. The gun in my hand made all of them still in fear.
"Val, what are you doing? Put that gun down," Cillian seethed out angrily. "I'm handling this," I just laughed at his words.
"Did I say that I was going to beg him?" I snapped at him. "I was going to tell Viktor the truth to rob him of the happiness he seemed to be carrying to the next life. Nothing less, nothing more."
"There is no truth that could hurt me," Viktor snapped at me like a wild dog and I just moved towards him.
"Take a step back, Val," Demyan's voice fell deaf on my ears. All I could see was my prey, Viktor. Our eyes locked on each other and without letting him know I shot him in the thigh, making him fall to his knees with a scream. Sophia wiggled in Natalie's arms screaming.
"You bitch!" Sophia shrieked, her voice drowning even Viktor's screams.
