Ringo POV

The moon hung like a silent guardian in the ink-black sky, casting its ethereal glow upon the tranquil hot spring. The steam curled and danced as the water rippled in response to my presence. As I immersed myself in the soothing warmth, the day's grime and the memory of my recent mishap in the sewer seemed to dissolve in the embrace of the therapeutic waters.

My obsidian hair, wet from the hot spring, cascaded down my back like a silken waterfall. Onyx eyes, normally sharp and vigilant, softened as they gazed upon the steam rising from the rejuvenating pool. The serene ambiance enveloped me, and I couldn't help but feel grateful for this chance to cleanse both body and spirit.

'Ah~ This feels so nice...'

The memory of my encounter with the killer android lingered in the recesses of my mind.

"In the end... I couldn't beat them alone..."

Frustration bubbled within me like the hot spring's waters. I had faltered, and the lingering doubt gnawed at my resolve.

'If I couldn't beat that mechanical menace, how could I live up to Mother and Gokuro's expectations?' I stared at my palm soaking in the warm water.

With the moon as my silent witness, my contemplative gaze turned inward. Determination welled up within me like a rising tide. I couldn't let this setback define me. The reflection in the steaming water mirrored not just my physical self, but the resolve to transform weakness into strength.

"I need to get stronger." I clenched my fist.

The night air seemed to shimmer with the residual heat of the hot spring as I sensed a presence approaching. Turning back, I caught sight of a dark-haired girl with striking electric blue eyes wrapped in a towel – it was Alluka.

"Alluka..." A smile crept across my face as she gracefully dipped into the hot spring beside me.

"Hello, Ringo Nee-chan!" she greeted, her voice carrying a sense of ease that mirrored her cheerful demeanor.

"Alluka, that chase must have been terrifying. Are you okay?" I couldn't help but express my concern, considering the tumultuous events of the car chase we had narrowly escaped.

"Uh-huh." She smiled, radiant and reassuring as she nodded.

"As long as I'm with Onii-chan, nothing can scare me," she said, her words carrying a steadfast conviction that warmed my heart.

It was a sentiment that resonated deeply with me, evoking memories of my own unbreakable bond with my brother. Observing Alluka in the moonlit waters, I couldn't help but marvel at the evident closeness between her and her brother. The way they supported each other echoed the kindred spirit that existed between me and Gokuro. It was a connection that transcended words, a silent understanding that bound siblings together through thick and thin.

But for some reason, it's always hard to picture the brother in my older memories as Gokuro... His face was always a blur, I wonder why?

In the midst of our conversation, Alluka dropped a curious statement that left me puzzled. "Besides, this isn't my first time being in a car chase."

"Really?"

Alluka's smile held a mischievous glint as she leaned back against the steaming rocks. "Oh, it's a long story. Let's just say my brother and I have had our fair share of adventurous escapes."

"It must've been epic."

Laughter bubbled between us as Alluka shared her adventurous escapades, and for a moment, the weight of our recent trials seemed to dissipate. However, as my gaze inadvertently drifted downward, I couldn't help but notice the peculiarity of Alluka's figure. Despite being eighteen, there was a distinct lack of curves, and I found myself momentarily puzzled.
