Everyone suggested something different and no one managed to agree. From Harry Potter to some soap opera, from a comedy to horror movie, all the options lay splayed out on the table. The team mumbles and grumbles, soon petty catfights start erupting around the room.
"Ain't no way I'm watching a musical!" Clint said firmly, crossing his arms. Sam supported his opinion, earning gasps from the rest of the Golden Trio.
"We could watch a Disney movie?"
"Can we do it by elimination at least?" tried Tony who was already tired of the team and their antics whilst massaging his aching temples with his thumb and index in circle motions. Sometimes he certainly had the impression of having an army of siblings living with him, not thta he didn't like it. He had been an only child so this new found 'family' brought in him more joy than he cared to mention.
After all, he had a reputation to uphold.
"No documentary.", you declared with your arms crossed, occasionally stealing M&Ms from the bowl Sam cradled on his lap. Steve made little incoherent blabbers and noises in indignation, gesturing wildly with his hands at the plethora of culture you could be missing out on.
"No gory stuff."
"No stupid lovesick movie."
"Not a historical drama please!"
Tony sighed and removed his glasses whilst threading his hand through his mane of hair, "You know what? JARVIS, choose a random movie based on the team's picky taste in movies." Tony announced to his AI, not wanting to deal with this anymore.
"Based on all the information provided, this movie seems best." JARVIS announced as it dimmed the lights in the room and put a movie up on the screen.
It started somewhere in France, in those beautiful views of golden french countryside by the glittering Mediterranean. Plants danced in front of the camera, nearing the soft sand that announced the glittering body of water to come. A woman stands atop a rock overlooking the beach all alone, perhaps enjoying the solace of this moment or observing those numerous happy families and people bustling about on the bright sand below.
"Move you oaf, you're taking up all the space.", Loki whispers to his brother who started stretching out and suddenly decided to take as much space as possible on the large couch. Loki shoved him and the pack of Pop-Tarts near Thor rustled, menacing to spill its precious contents on the carpet.
Thor whiper shouted in response as it seemed he was ever incapable of whispering, "Shut up or I'll pour my drink on your head."
"Then I shall stab you.", Loki shot back, summoning a dagger and keeping a close hand on its golden hilt.
Tired of their sibling rivalry, you hissed, "Both of you, hush.", before focusing your eyes back on the screen. The lady had now moved and for some reason, a fight had broken out on the beach amongst the people. You scowled at both of them as you heard them yet still whisper, swat and shove each other, one on each side of you.
Loki taunted, "Yes brother, heed Y/n's words. HUSH."
Thor simply flipped him off, having learnt from the best in this tower and Loki's shocked gasp was so loud everyone's head instantly turned towards him or peeled their eyes on the screen to see what had made him gasp so. You just snorted whilst sipping placidly on your favourite drink.
As it went on, the team had understood why JARVIS picked out this particular movie. It was actually really good and an excellent balance of everyone's tastes somehow. It had some historical context, a lot of action, a good plot, hilarious parts and a slight love story for all the melty hearts of the team.
