Clarissa's POV

"Hi there Tyler. Can I have the chart for E19, please?" Tyler gives me the chart and I look at it, realizing that it's Dr. Webber's.

"Thank you." Tyler smiles and I entered Dr. Webber's room, closing the door behind me.

"Oh, good, you're here. Let's get started." Dr. Webber says once he looks at me and I begin to examine him.

"Clarissa, you're touching me. I want you to listen to me very carefully. As long as I'm in here, I don't know what's happening out there. With my doctors. My patients. My hospital. You are my eyes today, my ears. I want you to be a sponge. You report any and everything happening in this hospital to me.  I'm not fooling around. There's too much been happening lately under my radar. It stops today." Dr. Webber tells me and I feel that uncomfortable feeling in my tummy.

"Sir, I do not feel comfortable doing this. It makes my tummy feel uncomfortable." Dr. Webber nodded and gave me a smile.

"Alright Clarissa. Can you tell the nurses that I don't want Derek in my room. Then you can go relax for a bit and I'll have Debbie page you when I need you." Dr. Webber says, referring to Nurse Debbie Hayes.

"I can do that sir." I tell Dr. Webber before leaving and walked over to the nurses' station where Tyler was standing.

"Dr. Webber asked me to let you know that he does not want Dr. Derek Shepherd in his room." Tyler takes the chart from me and gives me a smile.

"I'll get on that right away Clarissa." Tyler tells me and I smiled at him before walking away.

"Burke you gave Clarissa to Dr. Webber. Are you sure about that?" Derek asks Dr. Burke as I'm walking down the hallway.

"That's not your call, Shepherd. And for the record, I'm always sure. He'll listen to Clarissa when it comes to his care." Dr. Burke says as I continue walking down the hallway.

"How much? How much does something like this cost?" Joe asks Amelia, Cristina and Virginia.

"I don't think you should worry about that right now." Virginia tells Joe.

"Hey, look, you guys say that you can kill me and bring me back, I believe you. You're doctors, but I own a bar. I don't got any insurance so I'm not that concerned about the surgery so much as what I'm going to do when I survive it. I need a number. Ten grand? Twenty? Thirty?" Joe asks them.

"It's a couple hundred at least. At least." Amelia says as I walked to the billing department and walked over to Cynthia Nixon, the head of the billing department.

"Hi Cynthia. I want to pay for Joe Stevens' medical bills while he is here."

"Of course Clarissa. Here's the forms." Cynthia says before handing me the forms.

Amelia's POV

"Hi there Joe." Cristina enters the room and goes directly to the bathroom, puking in the toilet.

"Hey, sunshine. Morning sickness must suck." Joe tells Cristina.

"Joe, the billing department told me that your medical bills are fully paid for." Virginia says as she enters the room.

"Hey Dr. Crowe. And really? Do you know who paid my medical bills?" Joe asks us and I instantly knew that Clarissa was the one who paid the bills. She most likely overheard us talking this morning and took it upon herself to pay the bills. Virginia comes to the same conclusion based on her facial expression.

"Clarissa paid the medical bills didn't she?" Cristina asks us and I nodded in response.

"She shouldn't have done that." Joe tells us.

"She did it because she cares about you Joe." Virginia tells him.

"Today's CT shows no re-bleeding. The EKG's shows normal sinus rhythm. No ischemia, no dysrhythmias." Cristina presents and I couldn't help but frown at her difficulty presenting.

"Looking good. Page me if there are any changes." Virginia says before leaving and I look over at Cristina a final time before walking out of the room. Clarissa was sitting in the hallway tiredly rubbing her eyes while reading a patient chart. Placing my hand on Clarissa's shoulder, she looks up at me and gave me a tired smile.

"Tired angel?"

"Yeah." Clarissa says before I give her my hand and she takes it. The two of us headed to an on-call room where we laid down in the bed and I wrapped my arms around Clarissa. Her eyes close and I kissed her forehead.

"You did a great thing for Joe angel. Rest now because we're going to make sure he's okay."

"Love you treasure." Clarissa says in her sleep and I couldn't help but smile.

"Love you too angel."

Meredith's POV

"Have you even bothered to tell Burke about the baby? Are you going to?" Cristina and I are sitting on my couch watching television. Amelia and Clarissa are upstairs fast asleep while Addison's making us coffee.

"Look, Meredith, can we not go there? Can everyone just accept the fact that there are some things I like to keep to myself? I don't discuss everything to death." Cristina says and I couldn't help but sigh.

"Well, why even confide in me at all. If you're so intent on not discussing it? Why even tell me?"

"I'm sorry Meredith. I'm just scared. The clinic has a policy. They wouldn't let me confirm my appointment unless I designated an emergency contact person. Someone to be there, just in case, and to help me home, you know, after. Anyway, I put your name down. That's why I told you I'm pregnant. You're my person." Cristina tells me with a frown on her face.

"I am?"

"Yeah, you are. Burke dumped me that's why I haven't told him." Cristina explains to me before laying her head on my shoulder.

"He's an idiot for dumping you."

"Clarissa's lucky to have Amelia and Alex as her people." Cristina tells me.

"They just understand her in a way that the rest of us can't. Clarissa's your person too because she didn't tell me about Burke or the baby. Proving that she can keep a secret and be there for you."

"That is true. Did you know that she paid Joe's medical bills?" Cristina asks me, causing my eyes to widen in surprise.

"No I didn't. But I'm not surprised because that's how Clarissa is. She'll help anyone out if she can. She brought home a stray dog who had a broken leg when she was four and begged my mom to help it. I had to explain to Clarissa that mom was a people doctor and couldn't help the dog. But we brought it to the vet and Clarissa would force me to take her there every day until it got better."

"Why am I not surprised that she'd do something like that?" Cristina asks me with a smile on her face.

"That's when I knew that Clarissa was meant to be a doctor and save lives."
